After hotel pickup, set off on your enriching exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage–listed city in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. Begin your tour of the historically significant city in El Cerro de la Popa and its antique monastery near by. See the architecture of the Republican houses and Cartagena’s Moorish style, dating back to the early twentieth century.
Afterward, visit the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, one of the largest Spanish military architectural structures in the country.
Take a break for lunch (if option is selected) at Plaza Fernández de Madrid, and after eating, follow your guide through the Historic Center where you will visit Torre del Reloj at Plaza de la Aduana, the place used for slave trade during the Colonial period.

Itinerary
This tour starts by picking you up at your hotel and taking you to the Popa Monastery. A Jesuit monastery located at the highest point of the city, from where you can appreciate the dynamics of the city, its different bodies of water, the great port, as well as its neighborhoods.

Pedro Claver is one of the most important characters in the history of Cartagena, he called himself the slave of the slaves, for his work in the protection and creation of the rights of the afro population and the amount of miracles he did, he was declared a saint.
