  • Visit Rabat’s main historical, cultural and religious sites on a sightseeing tour
  • See the Hassan Tower and admire the masterful architecture of the Mausoleum of Mohammed V
  • Visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Wander the narrow streets of the Old Medina of Rabat, home to the Mechouar royal palace
  • Small-group tour limited to 18 people ensures a more personalized experience
Meet your driver at your city center hotel or in the Racine district of downtown Casablanca. Then, hop inside a climate-controlled vehicle and travel north along the Atlantic coastline to Rabat.

On arrival in Morocco’s capital after roughly one hour, embark on a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city’s main sights and historical attractions. See Hassan Tower, a rose-tinted sandstone mosque tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V where the remains of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his sons are held.

Break for lunch (own expense) and then continue to Bouregrag River, stopping en route to visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of the Udayas, which was constructed during the reign of the Almohads.

Make your final stop of the tour at the Old Medina of Rabat. Here, see the ramparts of Mechouar royal palace and gardens and soak up the sights and sounds of the local souks.

Your day trip concludes with a drop-off back at the original start point in Casablanca.

It was not a long trip to Rabat. Saw 3 sites and then headed back to Casablanca. Guide was good, but nothing spectacular. After lunch, he took me to shops so people could try and sell me carpets or spices. I didnt need that.

The driver was excellent and the guide, Majid, was very good. In fact, the tour started by them taking me to the mosque in Casablanca because, the day before, the mosque was closed to visitors because the king was coming for prayer. Visiting that mosque third largest and tallest was probably the highlight of either Casablanca or Rabat so I'm very thankful that Majid and driver were flexible to make that happen thank-you, Majid!. That said, this Rabat Day trip tour is advertised as Duration: 9 hours approx. and visiting the Casa mosque was from about 9:45 to 11...then we drove the 1 hourish to Rabat, saw the listed sites and were back in Casa by about 3 p.m. Majid gave me a choice of eating in Rabat or Casablanca and we both agreed on Casablanca. I wanted to eat along the ocean shorebecause this is the best foot-forward Casablanca has but Majid thought it best we eat at the same restaurant we had a delightful meal at the day before and I willingly agreed. After being at that restaurant for some time without them even bringing us a water as all the help was too busy watching a soccer match to pay us any attention, Majid did an amazing thing that he said he'd never had to do in all his years of vast experience that gave me a truly unique experience I would not normally have had: we walked out of the restaurant and he took me a couple of blocks behind this restaurant and my Sheraton hotel and I got to experience the locals market where he was able to buy shrimp, sardines amazing! and whiting then paying a kitchen to cook them up for us with lentils and we had a very Moroccan experience thank-you for salvaging the day, again, Majid!. However, we were done at about 4:45 so that pans out to about 7 hours of the advertised 9 hours even with the extras. Rabat has a beautiful shoreline and the driver did a good job of driving along that on the way back. The old mosque Hassan Towerwas a little interesting just seeing something started in 1187 and never finished but still there is cool and the mausoleum was okay. The Kasbah of the Udayas wasn't that interesting so I'm surprised it is a UNESCO site maybe I just missed its full significance but Majid did walk me to a very nice view-point that I never would have found on my own overlooking the river as it flows to the ocean. The tour list also says, Wander the narrow streets of the Old Medina of Rabat, home to the Mechouar royal palace...I don't remember wandering any narrow streets nor realizing I was in the Old Medina but I am thankful for a unique experience that the driver and guide talked to the palace gate guards saying they had an American tourist and we were allowed to go into the palace campus were we got out and walked a short distance right up to the front of the palace with all the various and finely dressed guards from the different branches. It is not often that a tourist is literally the only tourist in front of a nation's palace but I was and that alone was worth the trip to Rabat! Interesting side-note, even though this tour is a Small-group tour limited to 18 people, I was the only tourist. Overall, for the price, I've gotten much better value in other countries. However, if the tour is expanded to find another interesting thing or two to showcase about this area I feel like Morocco is still trying to discover how best to do tourism and it would fill the advertised 9 hours, it would be worth the price.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR. It's mostly just driving around and afterwards you are brought to shops where they are agressive and pressure you to buy things and are rude if you don't. It's a tourist trap and not worth the money.

The driver was excellent. The guide was also very knowledgable. However his choice of restaurant was not good...a fixed price, very expensive in fact the most expensive and the poorest quality that we have experienced in add insult to injury, the guide insisted that my husband leave a large tip. But we were pleased to visit Rabat.

Pünktliche Abholung, Führer war gut. Allerdings war der Ausflug erheblich kürzer als angegeben.
