Canopy tour in Las Cañadas, near Ensenada
Challenge yourself with five hanging bridges and five ziplines
Make your way to Las Cañadas Campamento, a campground and water park located 30 minutes south of the Ensenada town center. Suit up and learn the basics of zipline safety from your guide, then climb the central tower to begin the course.
Cross five unique hanging bridges, and clip into five ziplines. Pick up speed as you fly through the air in your harness—two of the ziplines are more than 1300 feet (396 meters), and you’ll travel at 25 mph (40 kph). At the halfway point of the canopy tour course, take a break with bottled water.
You’ll be clipped into safety lines while crossing the hanging bridges, too. Cross two traditional hanging bridges, then try to balance your way across the Tibetan Bridge. See if you can make it across the Barrels Bridge, and use all your speed, balance and agility while hopping across the Island Bridge. This tour includes access to the Campamento for the duration of the canopy tour only.
Ziplining at Las Canadas far exceeded my expectations. Definitely hire a driver for the day. Check in was super easy, no wait on the day we were there, lockers were free, bathrooms clean, & guides were extremely helpful. The hanging bridges were more like a ropes course - tricky in some spots, but nice way to break up the course. We had a blast & will go back again.
We had a blast on this tour! The guys were patient and kind (we both fell). I wish they weren’t so spread out because we couldn’t tip the guy who pushed my foot back up through the slats on the hanging bridge I fell through.
Great experience outside Ensenada. Make sure you hire a taxi for the duration because it seems it would be hard to get a cab there (it’s fairly remote).
Best activity of our vacation. The guides were very knowledgeable and kept safety as the number 1 priority while ensuring a great experience.
It is about 1/2 out of town. I would highly recommend renting a driver for the day. Uber will get you there but you will have a hard time getting an Uber back out. Rent a driver for the day and they can take you by the Blow Hole on the way back to town. Renting a driver for the day will also be cheaper than Uber.
My husband and I just did the zipline your at Las Canadas and had a BLAST! It was a great mix of fun ziplines and challenging bridges. Very exhilarating and exciting!! Our 2 guides were absolutely FANTASTIC. They made everything seem super safe, were very friendly and very funny. Jose also took amazing pictures and videos that we will cherish forever. Cant wait to go back next time we are in Ensenada!
I originally booked a zip line tour on Catalina island while on a carnival cruise for the amount of 520.00 for four of us. I found out about Las Canadas zip line and decided to try them out. I am so glad I cancelled the Catalina tour because this place was very cool. The total cost for all four of us was 115.00 saving us over 400.00. It was very easy to get there by cab for 50.00 round trip. We walked off the ship over the bridge to find all the cabs waiting. Do not use the drivers in front of the ship their prices are too high. The ride took about 50 min but was a great opportunity to see Ensenada away from the tourism. Las Canadas is large and beautiful out by the wine country. It is well organized with very helpful operators. This tour was so well worth the money and the zip line runs are actually longer than the Catalina tour. There are cool bridges to cross like an obstacle course to get to the next zip line. The cab driver waited for us and after about 2 hrs we were back on our way to the ship.
Tour guides were great and my wife and I had an amazing time! One thing they could do better is provide transportation from Ensenada or some sort of instruction on the best way to get to and from the campground.
The whole experience was great! The park was clean and well maintained. The guides were friendly and helpful and spike English and Spanish. The bridges were a little challenging but not difficult. Definitely recommend this place. I read reviews stating the park charged for admission even though it wasn't stated on the Viator website. I called beforehand and confirmed there would be no additional costs and we were not charged additional entry.
