Delightful Tour with Lucia
, Dec 2019
This was a wonderful evening tour with Lucia. She explained the history and production behind all the different foods we tasted, going to places I would never have found on my own. We sampled brushetta, two kinds of pasta, charcuterie, delicious wines, sweets at a local bakery, and gelato. We even explored a small bio/organic grocery store. Several of the stops were in the neighborhood of Sant'Ambrogio, which is adjacent to the historic center but a "regular" neighborhood off of the beaten tourist track. Lucia was thoughtful and excellent company, and made me feel most welcome in Florence. This tour is an excellent value and a delightful way to spend an evening.
Lovely guide and delicious food
, Oct 2019
We had trouble finding the meeting spot as the Santa Croce square was filled with tour groups. I would only recommend reminder emails to specify more clearly where to find the specific meeting spot. Otherwise, everything after the tour started was amazing. My sister and I were lucky to be the only people in the group that day so it was an intimate private tour. Lucy was extremely lovely and gave insightful information about life in Florence. We were stuffed at the end of the tour so make sure to go with an empty stomach.
