Begin your day early with a Cairo or Giza hotel pickup, and travel to the Giza Plateau by private, air-conditioned minivan.
Take in the atmosphere of the city as dawn breaks over the streets, and arrive at your desert base, on the fringes of the Sahara — the world-famous desert that skirts the Giza Plateau and its UNESCO-listed pyramids.
Here, hop aboard your rugged quad bike, don your supplied helmet and goggles, and after a safety briefing and driving instructions, motor out on to the desert sands.
Follow your guide during an approximate 1-hour ride, and thrill as you race across the low dunes and plains. Pick up speed as your confidence builds, and stop every now and then to take in the views and snap photos.
Afterward, swap your quad bike for Egypt’s more traditional form of transport — a camel. Climb into the saddle and bask in the silent beauty of the desert as your steed plods across the sands.
Ride to two high points and stop to soak up the panoramic dawn views. Watch entranced as the sun climbs higher into the sky, casting the three main pyramids in a sparkling golden glow.
After taking photos or videos from both viewpoints, ride your camel back to base. Then, dismount and finish your tour with a drop-off at your hotel.
