This private, 4-hour Peranakan cooking class starts with a pickup at your Singapore hotel. Your pickup time happens anywhere from 9a.m. to 9:30a.m.
After a short ride to the home of Rosaline Soon, a Peranakan chef, your class starts at about 10a.m. Rosalie also has three successful cookbooks and owns a pub and café. During this class, she teaches you proper techniques for chopping, blending, and stir frying. Use local ingredients, such as garlic, ginger, shallots, and lemongrass to make a masterful meal. You can take these skills back home with you to impress your friends by cooking a Peranakan meal for them.
Once your hard work is complete, it’s time to taste what you just made. Sit down with your instructor and group for lunch. Get back to your hotel around 2p.m. when your vehicle drops you back off. The rest of your day is yours to plan as you wish.
