This 4-hour Turkish cookery tour allows you to master the techniques of Turkish cuisine in a local home. Under the guidance of your chef, you’ll prepare classic Turkish dishes in a traditional family home. Enjoy an authentic culinary experience as you prepare stuffed vine leaves, yogurt dressing and a traditional Turkish dessert. Afterwards, you’ll feast on the fruits of your labor in a small group limited to four people.
Greet your local guide at the Marmara hotel in Taksim Square and board a vehicle destined for your host’s home, located approximately 30 minutes away. During the journey, get acquainted with your guide and small group.
On arrival at a local home, don an apron and start preparing traditional Turkish dishes such as dolma (stuffed vine leaves) and cacik (yoghurt dressing). For desert, you’ll prepare güllaç (Turkish dessert made with nuts, milk and pastry). As you cook, you’ll learn about Turkish culinary traditions and gain cultural insight from your host.
Once you have finished cooking, take a seat at the table and pleasure your palate with the fruits of your labor. Sated, you’ll return to your original departure point and bid your host farewell.
