Grilled Alaska salmon, cheechako chicken, Chilkoot baked beans, Tongass wild-rice pilaf, Alyeska au gratin potatoes, salad, beverages, and other succulent side dishes—are you hungry yet? Enjoy a traditional Alaskan salmon bake on a shore excursion while in Juneau. Take a shuttle bus that suits your ship’s arrival time. How long you spend at the salmon bake—it can be lunch or dinner—is up to you, as buses return to port regularly.

Finish your feast with blueberry cake, and wash your meal down with beer and wine (own expense). Walk off your hearty meal with any number of activities.

Hike up to the Salmon Creek waterfall or glimpse inside the entrance of the historic Wagner Mine. See mining relics inside and get into the spirit by sifting for gold on your own using a nearby trough. Back at the campfire, toast some marshmallows for a snack.

Watch Doug Chilton, a Tlingit Master Carver, and his son, work on two 10-foot-tall (3-meter-tall) cedar totem poles and silver jewelry. Hear more about Tlingit culture and their ancestral craft, and feel free to ask questions. Pick up one-of-a-kind souvenirs from the gift shop.

After your all-inclusive Alaskan experience, board a shuttle and return your cruise ship.

we enjoyed the bake. the salmon was slightly over baked but the place was clean and everyone was friendly. there was live music playing and the food was good. I even saw an eagle and got some great pictures. and they have heat lamps to keep you warm which was great because it was cold and rainy all day.

Very nice venue, good food and very helpful personnel. The weather was not the best typical Juneau but that didn't keep us from taking the excursion. The area was weather-ready with large umbrella type coverings over the food and tables. Rain or shine I would do it again.
