Enjoy the sights and shopping of Gibraltar on this full-day trip from the Costa del Sol. Travel to the famous British territory by air-conditioned coach, and discover its main attractions, including the legendary Rock of Gibraltar, on a sightseeing tour. Head inside St Michael’s Cave, meet the cheeky Barbary monkeys and visit Europa Point, where a lighthouse marks the gateway of the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Plus, get free time to enjoy Gibraltar’s British atmosphere and high-street stores, fashion chains and duty-free outlets — all perfect for a dose of great-value shopping.
  • Full-day trip to Gibraltar from the Costa del Sol
  • City tour
  • Visit the famous Rock of Gibraltar and Saint Michael's cave
  • Meet the Barbary macaque monkeys who live on the rock
  • Free time to shop for British specialties on the main street
  • Expert Spanish- and English-speaking guide
  • Pickup and drop off from central meeting places on the Costa del Sol
Join up with your guide at one of the central meeting points on the Costa del Sol, and settle inside your air-conditioned coach. Then, journey along the coast to the British territory of Gibraltar, set on a promontory that juts into the Mediterranean Sea.

Best known for its towering limestone ridge known as the Rock of Gibraltar, this chunk of British territory is also famous for its duty-free shopping and British institutions, including its British-style pubs, trademark red telephone boxes and policemen dressed in British uniforms!

On arrival, take a panoramic coach tour and visit Europa Point, Gibraltar’s southernmost point. View the lighthouse that stands at the gateway between the Mediterranean and Atlantic, and absorb the spectacular views over the Strait of Gibraltar toward North Africa.

Next, hop onto a minibus for a guided tour of the iconic Rock. On your way up, stop to visit beautiful St Michael Cave, a network of natural limestone caverns hollowed into the cliff. Marvel at the stalactites and stalagmites as you learn how the cave has been used through the centuries, and behold the largest cave, a natural grotto regularly used as a venue for concerts and other events.

Then, head up the rock to meet its famous residents: the semi-wild Barbary macaque monkeys, known locally as 'Barbary apes.' Hear the story of how the British will never leave Gibraltar until the apes depart, and take snaps of these cheeky animals, taking care to watch your belongings!

Later, head back down the rock, and enjoy free time to explore independently. Perhaps enjoy a meal (own expense), stroll around the pretty lanes, or head for Main Street, the partly pedestrianized, long shopping avenue. Browse the department stores, international fashion chains and handicrafts shops, and maybe snap up duty-free favorites such as liquor, watches, fragrances and other great-value goodies.

When the time comes, return to your coach and ride back to the Costa del Sol where your tour ends at the start point.

A crowded line bus, not a tour
, Aug 2019
Firstly, to confirm the reservation was a tricky task as you have to call to a Spanish number. After two attempts, we were successful! The pick up of all tour guests took hours, the amount of stops went beyond ten. The guide spoke 3-4 languages, which was very impressive, however very few interesting things were noted. When we finally got to Gibraltar, we were let loose in Gibraltar. Driving back again took hours due to the excessive amount of stops. Julia travels clearly chooses quantity over quality. Please book something else.
Not everyone can be happy
, Jul 2019
Overall was a nice trip considering we have started from Fuengirola with only 3 pick-ups after us and 2,30 hours drive to Gibraltar 10,30 arrived. The rock tour as described by the company (not much to see but nice views and the feeling you was there). Bad points: 2 hours spent on the main street , absurd prices for a duty free ; we’ve could spent 20 more minutes in the cave and around nice monkeys; same 20 minutes more to Europa point. The driver gave plenty informations in his nice way.
Fabulous day out

Gibraltar is a wonderful place to visit and this trip was perfect for what we wanted to see. The trip up the rock to see the macaques was amazing! Would definitely return and would definitely book through Viator.

Very disappointed by the company, tell you to contact before your tour but nobody speaks English so they hang up on you!!
'Monkey" Business

A fun way to spend the day. Wife and I frist started out shopping. Then had lunch. We caught the second part of the tour in a van that was really not adequate enough for our group. Even though we were packed in quite tight, our driver was great and informative. We saw lots of Barbary macques and were able to somewhat interact with them. Good tour.

Guide on the bus to Gibraltar was ok but the Tourbus was late and no explaining at all. The Guide in Gibraltar was excellent.

The sights to see in Gibraltar were fantastic. We arrived around 10.30am at the bus park and were then given until 12.20 to be back at the bus. We were taken upstairs at 12.30, but waited around 15-20 mins to get on the minibus and finally be on our way. We took some time at the lighthouse area looking out over the Mediterranean, which was beautiful. We then took a ride up to St. Michaels which really was stunning. We only had 20 mins here and it really was not long enough. There were quite a few stairs to climb and with and elderly person the time given for the visit just was not long enough. The visit to the monkeys was also great. We then had one hour back in the town. The whole trip would have been better had we gone straight up the rock, had more time at each place and then had the 2 hours in the town, the way it was done felt rushed the whole time in Gibraltar. One comment on our driver, should not make homophobic comments and religious ones.
Three hours on the coach each way...

Three hours on the coach each way is not great due to the number of pick ups from hotels. The actual visit and tour of Gibraltar was good. and free time enough in the town.
Tour guide quite not really...

Tour guide quite not really friendly, even quite rude. Basically Julia Travel will just take you from your pickup point, then go to Gibraltar. Then 3 hours of free time, it's cool but at 9-10am everything is closed so it's pointless. Then in the afternoon you will be led to an other travel agency for some sightseeing mountains, monkeys, cave.., which made me feel like I've been fooled. I didn't pay to be led to another travel agency... It was mostly a waste of time, I would highly suggest to go on your own, and eventually pay a tour guide directly in Gibraltar if you really want to be guided.
Beautiful views from the top...

Beautiful views from the top, enjoyed the St. Michael's Cave and the monkeys. The shopping was limited and there were not a lot of activities in Gibraltar.
