We did this tour on February 28, 2018. I lived in Panama for 3.5 years back in the late 1970s so I had some sense of what the Panama City area has to offer and what the main sights of the area are. If you want a 1 day overview of highlights of the city and a visit to the canal locks, this is a very nice option. It gives you enough time in the original old city and the later colonial city to get a good sense of the places and there is a fair amount of time allocated for the Miraflores locks. There is also a nice stop in Amador for lunch. The city tours all have similar itineraries. The main distinction of this one is the stop at the Biodiversity Museum. We enjoyed the stop and thought it worth the time. It is a very interesting building and the displays are nicely done. It also offers a bit of change of pace from some of the other stops. The one thing that we did not do because if you add something, you are going to have to cut something that is on many itineraries for the city tours is go to the top of Ancon hill. I have been there before and that is a nice stop as it offers some good views of the canal, but all things considered I thought the museum was a good trade off. Our guide was excellent. He was very engaged, friendly, informative, and helpful throughout the visit. You could not really ask for a better guide.
