Minho Tour small group, Braga, Ponte de Lima, Viana, Vinho Verde Winery & Lunch

This is the second tour we had with Pedro after having a wonderful day in Aveiro with him. Small group tour meant 2 couples and Pedro which was so nice not traipsing around small streets with 10 or 15 or more people. We started the day with coffee and pastries in a local café. Then a walk around Braga including a lovely garden. The highlight was a visit to Bom Jesus Santuary and prompted by Pedro we all walked up the 17 landings to have wonderful views and learn about each fountain and descending on the funicular. A stop in Ponte de Lima, Pedro bought us snacks to share from the market including a bread baked with 2 types of sausage and roasted chestnuts. Lunch was at a family run restaurant with several courses and wines with Pedro serving all the courses. The day didn't end there, but as in the other tour we took with Pedro, he was so attentive making sure we enjoyed our experiences, stopping when we saw something interesting such as when we arrived in Viando Castelo and a local concert was going on, he let us stay and listen for a few minutes. The tour actually ran late but he didn't cut it short and gave us a full day of surprises and wonderful experiences. Pedro is very knowledgeable about his country and courteous and entertaining. That is why we booked another tour to Douro Valley the next day. You are not just getting a tour and tour guide, you are getting a personally planned adventure with unforgettable memories.
