Riding an all-terrain quad bike is the perfect way to explore the remote, rugged landscape surrounding Reykjavík — much of it inaccessible by car or coach. Your adventure begins with pickup at your Reykjavik hotel and a 15-minute drive to base camp.
Meet your experienced guides and gear up with a safety helmet, gloves and thermal overalls to stay warm throughout the open-air adventure. You can choose to ride solo in your own vehicle or double up with a friend or family member on a dual-passenger bike.
Drivers will get an overview of operating the quad bikes and time to practice before the convoy sets off into the wintry landscape. Cruise along paved roads at first as you head along the outskirts of the city toward beautiful Lake Hafravatn. Admire the glassy surface surrounded by pastures and snow-capped peaks, and then venture deeper into the remote landscape on gravel paths. Feel the full power of your quad bike as you cruise up to the summit of Mt Hafrafell, where you can take in spectacular views of Reykjavik and neighboring ranges.
Continue riding up steep mountain tracks and often-icy terrain to the second of the twin peaks, Mt Úlfarsfell. The summit here offers even more breathtaking views of the otherworldly Icelandic countryside and attractions like Mt Esja and the Blue Mountain range.
After approximately two hours of riding time, shed your gear and hop back in the transfer vehicle for the return trip to your Reykjavik hotel.
Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required. You must use the 'Single Rider Extra' to indicate how many will be riding solo on a bike (if any).

Fun Ride, Amazing Views

I did the single ATV ride with one of my friends. We had a blast! The trails were made for this. Our guide, Sir Kaktus, made it really fun at a pace we could do. They give you coveralls, a face mask, a helmet and gloves if you need them. Wear waterproof shoes, and they will get muddy. I'd also suggest sunglasses.
Our ATV tour was a perfect addition to our trip. Luckily, we had a small group and everyone was on the same pages with speed and capability. Our guide was awesome, super friendly and made sure we made the most of our time. The bikes Safari Quads uses were also top of the line, making the experience that much better. 10/10 would recommend.
My husband and I had an amazing time on this tour,we both had our own quads I've never ridden one before, very easy and felt safe.picked up from hotel ,transferred to venue, kitted out in weather gear and padded jumpsuits ,gloves and helmet ,rode on public highway ,off road gravel paths ,up to peaks through water ,ice ,snow and over boulders ,would highly recommend this tour.
