Grant gave us a great tour of the city and surrounding area
, Jan 2019
Small tour turned out to to a personal tour, just me and my wife. Grant, our driver, was very knowledgeable of the area and it’s history. We got outside the city and had tea and pastry at a seaside cafe. We saw “Wellewood” and the film making area of town and some wonderful views of the harbor. We went downtown and rode the sky lift and Grant dropped up off to do some shopping before catching the shuttle back to the ship. Really packed a lot of sightseeing into half a day. Not very strenuous physically for those who have some trouble getting around but want to see a lot of the city.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable Tour. Our guide was knowledgable and had a good sense of humour and we felt that this was much more than just a City sightseeing tour and would have no hesitation in recommending it
This was excellent, just four couples from our ship. The guide took us all over Wellington, stopping at various sites, treated us to a coffee, tea, or soda and something sweet to eat. We could easily ask questions and felt we'd really seen Wellington.
Way too expensive, but the driver was nice, and we feel we covered the area well. Tour guide was on time,
had a comfortable vehicle, showed us everything he could think of and took us to a location where we could
view the S.I. which was one thing we wished to view. We did visit a couple of the beaches around the area and the small towns and the area where the Middle Earth movie characters were made-Weta area. That was
interesting. The tee shirt we bought our son has been a big attraction since returning home to the USA.
