We did this tour on our first day in Wellington and it was so worthwhile. It gave us an overview of Wellington and we were able to do some really nice things - including the Weta Caves and the Cable Car. John - our tour guide - was amazing. Everything was so organised. The tour was personal and he really went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He was also really easy going and happy to stop at places that weren't included in the tour to accommodate us. Would definitely recommend this tour - especially for first time visitors.
Whoa! Absolutely best tour we done in New Zealand. From the booking and our requests John certainly delivered a spectacular day. We seen from the south to the north of wellington and so much in between. Cant thank you enough John for the day, filled with lots memories and knowledge John had shared with us about Wellington. AMAZING.
John I said it would be hard for our other tours to beat yours and I can honestly say You won hands down.
Please keep up the great service you are providing. Unfortunately my neighbour and brother do not stop at wellington.
We will be highly recommending you to our friends who choose to travel to wellington.
Our tour guide, John, was excellent! I was able to contact him before our trip through email and plan the various places we wanted to see. He communicated immediately and was able to fulfill all of our wishes. We wanted to see the Southward Auto Collection especially and the beaches along the way. We stopped at the World War II Memorial which was meaningful. He was informative, answered questions and showed us some extra special places along our route. Very friendly and knew the area well. I would highly recommend working with John on this tour for whatever special places you wanted to see.
We wanted to get to know this beautiful capitol city without the hassle of too much company. We were first time vistors so first impressions can make or break a tour. We learned alot about the city, to many places, experienced Weta and even had time in the end for Te Papa! Great experience! Thank u
Both Tony and myself thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Phil arrived early to pick us up and showed us every courtesy throughout the day. The lunch at the Chocolate Fish was superb. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. For a private tour it was great value.
John picked me up on time from my hotel with his 4x4 Mitsubishi. The tour started with Weta Cave workshop which was worth visiting while you are in Wellington. John is a local from Wellington and very knowledgeable about the city. The day was full of activities but in a relaxed way. We had a light but nice meal at Chocolate Fish and in the end of the tour I received a nice gift from him. I enjoyed very much the tour. Thank you!
On May 14th, three co-workers and I booked this full day tour of Wellington. We looked forward to the tour as it was also a picture perfect day after having been raining all week.
When the tour guide picked us up from our hotel he told us that he was a substitute doing a favor for a friend. He was a really nice fellow, but he was a full time fireman and was not able to answer some of the most fundamental questions about this city. The car was crowded as well and although we all took turns sitting up front the person in the middle seat had a hard time seeing the sights.
I feel that this was a pricy tour 200 x 4 for the level of comfort provided and the level of information received.
I would not recommend this tour.
