One of Virginia’s most innovative breweries, Champion Brewing Company is home to a 30-barrel brewhouse specializing in craft beers. Flavors range from traditional, such as a chicory IPA, to unique, such as a lavender and coriander wheat ale. The Charlottesville microbrewery features an intimate taproom pouring regular and seasonal brews.
Champion Brewing Company has offered a niche selection of beers since its opening in 2012. It constantly rotates the taproom’s seasonal beers, one-offs, and barrel-aged brews, offering guests a different experience at every visit—in fact, Champion releases a limited-edition beer each month to taproom visitors. The small brewery complex features an outdoor patio and local food trucks, for a fun and family-friendly atmosphere.

A Beer-Lover’s Paradise
Champion Brewing Company creates some of the most experimental beers in the area. The owners want guests to experience beer the same way people experience music: with feeling. Each beer they brew tells a unique story, such as the Black Me Stout created for the punk rock band Against Me!
