On this tour we aim not only to acquaint our guests with the historical background of Split, but also to make a lasting impression of the destination. We wish to immerse them in local way of life and give them an authentic experience they won't soon forget. We can achieve that by telling them stories about everyday life in Split, incorporating lesser-known tidbits or talking about cultural quirks. However, we also think it is important to engage all of the guests' senses, which is why we included places like Split's Green market, a chocolate store, Vestibule (with a cappella group usually present), Matejuška pier (where locals socialize).

On this tour you will also learn a lot about history of this region by visiting one of the most fascinating forts in Croatia - fortress of Klis. With panoramic views across the valley and Split city beneath, imposing fort of Klis has protected the seat of many a Croatian King. We enjoy lunch at OPG Plazibat, a traditional Croatian meal made of meat and vegetables, slow cooked under a cast iron bell and covered with coals – delicious…) The house holds a secret – a beautiful looking restaurant hidden in the cellar of a family house with all the food made and grown on their own premises. The family owns livestock, donkeys, chicken and grow all the fruits and vegetables necessary for themselves and their guests. Pescatarian and vegetarian options are available and all common food allergies are catered for.
