The famous tank museum in Kubinka has become part of a huge ‘military-patriotic’ park called ‘Patriot’. Technically the museum hasn’t moved (yet) but many of its important exhibits have, e.g. most of the German tanks are in the Patriot park now (as of spring 2020). And the thing is that the two places are situated about 10km from each other. To see the whole collection of the armoured vehicles you’ll have to visit both of them and buy two separate tickets (R400 and R300 respectively, not included). A private day tour to Kubinka Tank Museum and the Patriot Park will let you visit both sites avoiding the hassle of getting there and around. I am neither a licensed guide nor a tank enthusiast but like most men I love military hardware and will gladly translate all the information you might need. Explore everything at your own pace without rush, the schedule is totally flexible! My vehicle is a Subaru Outback suitable for up to 4 persons.
I normally advise against visiting Vladimir and Suzdal on a day trip because it involves a lot of driving thus making the experience quite tiring. And yet, if you're short of time but full of energy and determination to see those popular Golden Ring destinations, it's absolutely feasible if we set off at the crack of dawn. Moreover, it's even possible to squeeze in some other remarkable sights, first of all the town of Sergiev Posad with its magnificent monastery of St.Sergius as well as ancient Yuriev and Alexandrov which used to be the residence of notorious Ivan the Terrible.Since I'm not a licensed travel guide, I will rather be your driver and travel companion during sightseeing providing all the necessary assistance and basic information whenever you need it.My car is a Subaru Outback in great condition, perfectly comfortable for 3 passengers but can accommodate 4 (with less comfort, obviously).
