Unlike other mud volcanoes in Trinidad, the mud at L’eau Michel is semi solid and liquid enough for visitors to bathe in.  The mud flows out through active vents. The mud here is not hot despite what the term ‘volcano’ might suggest, the mud is cool and smooth and so dense it keeps you a float. This is usually followed by a short 30-minute hike to the southern coast to L’eau Michel Beach. The tour concludes with a stop at the Roti Shop and Debe to experience their Cuisine. (Which is included in the cost. A minimum of two persons per booking is required

"We had a great time touring the Caroni Swamp and Bird Sanctuary. Jade picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the boat embarkation location. The boat driver took us through the swamp, pointing out various snakes and birds along the way. In the bird sanctuary, we were able to watch flamingos. Then the boat moored for a while and we waited for the scarlet ibises and other birds to arrive to their safe islands a little before sunset. The birds arrived gradually in many groups of a few to a dozen. The boats returned quickly as it turned dark and then Jade drove us back to the hotel. All told it was a nice, chill time."..."

Avocat Waterfall and Beach Tour
"This tour is absolutely a MUST do when visiting Trinidad. This is definitely one of the best ways to see the island and to skip the crowds. Honestly one of our favorite tours we've ever done. Our guide, Denton, was awesome and very fun to have for the day. He was super knowledgeable and very accommodating. Deff make a request for him if you book this. The waterfall itself was amazing. After a decent drive into the forest you reach the start of the trail. The trail itself is about 20ish minutes each way and very beautiful. The trail is pretty unkempt but that made it more fun. Arriving to the waterfall is super rewarding after the hike and quick swim across the calm river. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful and really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. We didn't see one other person our entire time there and had it all to ourselves. Afterwards, Denton took to us multiple stops including lunch at Maracas beach, another secluded beach spot, some scenic overlooks, a cool bridge, and of course a local bar for some drinks. Definitely book this tour if you are trying to escape from the normal crowds."..."
