Meet and greet the tour guide, a local actor and Hunger Games aficionado, in central Atlanta. Then climb aboard an air-conditioned motor coach to begin this entertaining and educational, 3-hour tour of the filming locations featured in the movies the Hunger Games: Catching Fire and the Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Parts 1 and 2.
Enjoy the behind-the-scenes facts and stories about these mega-popular movies, based on the bestselling adventure novels from American author Suzanne Collins.
Visit President Snow’s mansion, at the Swan House at the Atlanta History Museum in Buckhead, to roam the grounds and walk up the same concrete staircase as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark when they arrived at the Victory Tour party. Inside, pose for photos in the dining room as well as President Snow’s office (take a picture at his desk) and check out the Hunger Games exhibit, showcasing a variety of memorabilia from the making of the films.
See the Goat Farm Arts Center in West Midtown Atlanta, where several District 12 scenes were shot, and stand at the very spot where Katniss and Peeta were once again called to the reaping stage. Also, stop for photos in front of “the Odds Are Never In Our Favor” wall in Adair Park on the west side, the one they pass on the train to the Capitol.
Speaking of the Capitol, see where many of its scenes were filmed at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Recognize the towering, organic-style atrium and the continually moving glass elevators. The living quarters were filmed on the 10th floor and an elaborate set was constructed on the hotel's roof.
Throughout the tour, join in playing trivia games to win prizes and pose for a souvenir photo with the group, which will be sent via email following the tour.
