Our tour guide Linda and the driver were great. We were picked up by private car from our hotel at 8am and driven first to a silk factory. I did request to the guide that we could skip the silk and pearl factory as it was just my 10 year old and I and we were not really interested, but she insisted as it was on the itinerary!
The visit to the Hutongs and rickshaw ride were lots of fun, the tour through the Summer Palace was very brief: I would have liked to spend more time there but the Panda's at the Zoo were worth seeing. The Zoo was very crowded and other than the Panda's the remainder of the Zoo is not worth seeing as the enclosures are small and restrictive not pleasant.
Good tour if you are short on time in Bejing and wish to do alot in one day!

This was a great tour! Our guide-Ha, was excellent. Since it was just the two of us, this was like a private tour. We started at the Zoo-awesome to see the pandas, we went on the rickshaw ride and toured the Hutongs. Learned a lot about the culture. Also had lunch at a family home. Went to the silk factory and finished off our day at the Acrobatic show which was last minute. Overall great day!

This is a great tour for anyone visiting Beijing. The pandas were all out and very active while I was there. The meal in the hutong was also very nice.

I had Jenny for this tour. She was very personable and very knowledgeable. She also paced the tour very well. We exchanged e-mail addresses by the time the day was over.

This was SUCH an AMAZING tour. Not only were the sights incredible, but our tourguide Jenny was wonderful. This tour gives a real taste of Beijing outside the usual tourist sites and Jenny goes out of her way to answer any questions or point out any sights that might be of interest. In addition to this tour, Jenny recommended a show for us to see and even arranged pick-up/drop-off service to the airport for us last minute. By the time our day was over we considered her a friend and would gladly send any guests her way for this tour or others. Enjoy!

A very good tour which for sure I recommend. We were lucky to have the tour as private because there was no one else. We enjoyed a great brand new car with a very good driver. Our guide, Jenny, was very nice and could fairly speak English.
Pity that No boat possible in the summer palace due to wind

From February 2017,
This is a very enjoyable tour, with a great price no matter what currency you use. We were fortunate enough to have a tour with just 2 people. The car stopped in front of our hotel and we were greeted by our guide, Cherry.

The tour started early in the morning, so we just managed to avoid crowds. We began with a visit to the zoo. Besides pandas, this zoo also boasts some exotic bird wildlife, and also allegedly lions and tigers, although we did not see the latter. We were fortunate enough to have the pandas already awake and munching on their bamboo right in front of their exhibit. We were able to take pictures and videos of these sweet creatures.

Afterwards, we drove along to various other locations. Be warned that this tour involves a lot of walking and of course many crowds! We drove to see the Summer Palace, which is very grand. If you do sign up for this tour, please ask for Cherry. She is very funny and fluent in English and made this tour an excellent experience. She lets you know what is a good deal from the vendors, and when to save money. She is considerate of health issues that may affect pace and mobility, and is just an all around cool person.
As we visited during winter, there was no boat ride for this tour, but we still managed to take lovely pictures. We also were able to stop and take pictures with the Olympic Stadium and Water Cube in the background.

We visited a silk factory where we got to see how silk items are made. The silk comforters are very nice. One highlight of this tour is the Hutong experience. The rickshaw ride is short, but exhilarating in its novelty. We were treated to a delicious, home cooked meal prepared by a local family, who are very generous and accommodating. We were thrilled to take the leftovers with us, and also touched by their hospitality.

I would recommend this tour to all tourists.

The tour was very fun and interesting. My son enjoyed the tour very much especially seeing the pandas and the rickshaw ride. Our guide Jenny was very informative and very helpful as well. She's very knowledgeable and very fun to be with. Its like we didnt feel any tiredness at all instead all fun, fun and more interesting facts and fun activities to do. We love this tour and we love the guide Ms. Jenny. She really took very good care of us. Thank you so much Ms. Jenny.

Lisa took us on this tour - and she made it a wonderful day! We started at the zoo to see the Pandas eat breakfast. I got the cutest videos of the twins eating their bamboo.

As we strolled through the Summer Palace, Lisa was able to tell us all about the art work and the history of the site - bringing the history alive for us. We saw the Longest Corridor, took the Dragon Boat and visited the island.

Then we were off for a lovely lunch in a traditional home. We left the car and hopped in a rickshaw to see the back streets of Beijing. This gave us a realistic view of what life is like for the locals. Then we stopped for lunch. We asked Lisa to request a vegetarian meal for us and it was fantastic. We feasted on fresh veggies and rice with wonderful local seasonings.

Lisa did an amazing job of setting a comfortable pace, ensuring that we learned about the inner workings of the city and provided a great experience for us. She is a top notch guide!
