This full-day walking/riding adventure begins with a morning pickup at the Warnemünde cruise port, followed by a 2.5-hour drive south to Berlin, the capital and cultural center of Germany.
On the western side of the city, pass along Kurfürstendamm, one of the most famous avenues in Berlin, then stop at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, a combination of old and new architecture and a lasting memorial of peace and reconciliation. Learn about the history of this historic German capital while strolling through Tiergarten, Berlin’s largest and most popular inner-city park.
Also, see the Reichstag building, the meeting place of the German Parliament. Visit Checkpoint Charlie, the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East and West during the Cold War and Charlottenburg Palace, a former summer residence for the House of Hohenzollern, a dynasty of former princes, electors, kings and emperors.
Stop at Alexanderplatz, a large public square and transport hub in the central Mitte district of Berlin and walk alongside the remains of the Berlin Wall at the the Berlin Wall Memorial and East Side Gallery. Visit the famous museums on the Spree river's Museum Island and stop at Kaufhaus des Westens, aka KaDeWe, to do some shopping, if desired.
Other points of interest include the iconic Fernsehturm de Berlín, or TV Tower, Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Cathedral, Olympic Stadium and much more.
