Make your way to the Honokohau Marina at 12:30pm for your boat's departure time at 1pm. Check in with the tour office, then step aboard the 40-foot (12-meter) boat and find a seat in the sun or shade.
As the boat leaves the marina, listen to educational commentary from the boat's staff about humpback behavior and biology. While keeping a lookout for humpback breaches, blows, and tail slaps, you can also view other marine life. Eagle rays, manta rays, false killer whales, pilot whales, green sea turtles, and spinner dolphins also frequent these waters. From a respectful distance, listen to the whale's songs and calls on a hydrophone.
If you're feeling hungry, munch on the provided snacks, fruit, and water. Return to the marina for drop-off at the conclusion of 3 hours.
