Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your central Broome hotel by private 4WD vehicle. Admire the dramatic outback scenery as you drive east along the Great Northern Highway and take in the views from the famous Gibb River Road.
On arrival at Windjana Gorge, set off on a 2.5-mile (4km) hike through the gorge, passing a mesmerizing panorama of soaring cliffs, gurgling creeks, and remote sandy beaches. Along the way, spot freshwater crocodiles swimming in the streams, and cool off with a swim in a crocodile-free waterhole.
After lunch (included), continue to Tunnel Creek, a fascinating underground creek that passes through one of Western Australia’s oldest cave systems. Spend time exploring the natural wonder, and admiring the ancient aboriginal rock art that adorns the cave walls, as your guide explains the site’s rich Aboriginal heritage.
Back in Broome, your day ends with a stop at Cable Beach to watch the sunset over Australia’s West Coast, after which you’ll be dropped back at your hotel.
