Taste of Italy On Santa Clara Wine Trail

I cant say enough about the great day we had on the Santa Clara Wine Trail Tour! It was Excellent on all levels.

First of all the customer service I received before the tour was top notch. Ana was our contact and was super prompt when communicating with me and touched base with me several times to make sure we were well cared for. She asked us about food allergies and food preferences and worked to accommodate a good pick up spot for us.

The bus is new clean and comfortable and as we left the busy streets of San Jose and got into the more rural farm country with vines and golden hills surrounding us our bus driver gave us a little history of the area.

Guglielmo winery, which was our first stop was the stand out experience on the tour. We had our own personal wine hostess who asked us questions about our preferences so she could custom tailor our tasting experience. The winery its self was beautiful and we were given several choices of areas where we could taste. After sampling the excellent wines we were seated in outside in a cozy, shady area to enjoy our Fabulous Italian sandwiches with a lovely bottle of Guglielmo wine of our choice to enjoy with lunch. We even sampled some exquisite port with our dessert!

The wineries and wines were all excellent and we had a fun time tasting at each one as they were all different in atmosphere and style. These are wineries that have multiple generations of history and there was obvious pride and care in crafting the wines.

I felt the tour was well worth the cost as there is a lot of driving involved and it would not have been possible to enjoy all these wonderful wines at different locations without a driver. The tour was well organized, well run and we all felt it was the best day of our 5 day trip. Thank you Ana for putting together a great day for us!!
