Meet your local guide at your Georgetown hotel and board your vehicle for the ride to your first stop: the Conch Shell House, a unique piece of architecture constructed from over 4,000 conch shells. This home was once used as a bomb depot by the US Navy during World War II and dates from 1935. Its construction, using the shells of one of the Caymans' native species, has lasted through floods and hurricanes that have destroyed many other buildings.
Continue on to the Pedro St James Great House, a historical site where local officials met to form the first elected government in 1831, and then to abolish slavery in the Caymans in 1835. The visitor center features engaging multi-media exhibits detailing the various functions the house served in the past, including a restaurant, a jail and a courthouse.
Head over to the island's original brewery, Stingray Brewery, and enjoy some local beer while taking the opportunity to ask your expert guide any lingering questions. Your 2.5-hour outing ends with drop-off back at your Georgetown hotel.
