Receive an evening pickup from your Chiang Mai hotel, after which you’ll be transferred to the dinner venue. After receiving a hearty welcome from the staff, you’ll be shown to your table for a night of great food and a fascinating display of Thai culture.
Your meal for the evening will be served in ‘Khan’ (small bowls) at a ‘Toke’ (low table), a tradition that dates back to the 1950s when a local politician began to invite special guests to these Northern Thai-style gatherings. The food for the evening will celebrate Chiang Mai’s distinctive cuisine, which combines an array of noodles, chiles, rice, and curries, each of which was introduced to the region by neighboring countries like Myanmar, Laos, and China.
As you eat, you’ll also enjoy a series of Thai-style dance performances. Admire graceful rituals like the Forn Thien candle dance, Ramwong circle dance, the Ram Dab sword dance, and the Forn Leb finger dance. An optional upgrade that offers a second performance by some of Chiang Mai’s local hill tribes like Karen, Lao, Meo, Lisu, and more is also available. At the conclusion of the experience you’ll receive a drop-off at your Chiang Mai hotel.
