Meet your guide and small group of up to 10 people at Tapae Gate in central Chiang Mai in time for a 9am departure. Then, set out on a tour of the city’s culinary hotspots, traveling aboard a traditional songthiew (an open-air taxi). The first stop of the day is the Muang Mai wholesale market, where you can experience the buzzing atmosphere of a local market, and sample an array of regional delicacies, including Sai Oua, a sausage dish from Northern Thailand.
Pause at a popular restaurant to enjoy a bowl of Khao Soi noodles, another Chiang Mai specialty, then make a stop to see the grand Three Kings Monuments, in the heart of the Old City. The morning’s menu isn’t finished yet – there’s still time to tuck into savory chicken and rice, and sample Thailand’s famous mango sticky rice.
After four hours eating your way around the city, your tour ends back in central Chiang Mai.
