Drive through the city's celebrated Grant Park, which lines the shores of Lake Michigan. Then stop by Adler Planetarium, where you'll view the eye-catching sky dome, and pass by the Art Institute, a museum with galleries boasting a range of world-class impressionist art. See Orchestra Hall, home base for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and then drive down to the South Side, where you'll get a chance to see the one-time home of President Obama.

Chicago Four Hour North and South Sides Tour

We took the four hour tour of Chicago's South and North sides. We were very disappointed to learn that our tour was on a small "trolley", rather than a bus. The trolley had movable plastic for "windows" on much of the bus, which made picture taking through them nearly impossible. The seats were hard wooden slats, rather than cushioned seats and backs, which made for a very sore bottom and back after four hours.

I really cannot recommend this tour. It is not really a guided tour since there is a bus driver (who is doing his best) who announces the attractions but no guide to comment or provide information or stories. The plastic windows on the bus make it hard to see. Also if you are traveling solo you may be asked to exit the bus if you are the only traveler on the second half of the tour.

I could not understand the commentary. The volume was ok, but the words were not distinct. All the passengers were complaining. The bus was not comfortable. The seats were hard and the window coverings were plastic - either open or closed. Hot when closed or extremely windy when open.
