Reviews by Viator travelers
, Jul 2019
I was leery booking excursions outside of the cruise line for just my daughter & me in other countries. The reviews for Viator were all good and the prices are at least half what the cruise ships charge, so I ended up booking 3 different trips thru Viator. Each one was amazing, we felt safe & had a great time!!! All 3 guides were helpful and knowledgeable!!!

Excusion so was fine, guide was knowledgeable but his personality is a little serious. The cenote isnt clean and you dont want to get in it with the bats overhead pooping in it. Wish that had been stated in description.

We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend. Our tour guide was Katy and she was amazing.
Adventurous Day
, Mar 2019
Rocky and Danny our Guides were very entertaining and informative, especially in regard to the Mayan culture and influence on Cozumel. All in all it was a fun day, a bit of off-roading, jumping into the Cenote for the more adventuresome in our group, an informative tequila tasting, and a relaxing lunch - swimming/snorkeling would have been nice but high wind prevented that - although it did look like if conditions allowed it would have been a nice snorkel spot. All in all a fun way to spend the port day in Cozumel
Scammed at Tequila factory
, Dec 2018
On the tour they took me to a tequila factory where they trick you into buying overpriced tequila. I spent $300. On one bottle I spent $150 which is their most expensive tequila. They send me home with a $40 bottle of Ameretto instead. They will not replace it and the man who runs this tour claims he’s been trying to get my money back back he’s continuing to lie to me to cover up this scam. It’s been two months and I haven’t seen a dime. Though the man who runs this tour sent me a paper in Spanish saying I would be refunded of my money over a month ago!! This is not how customers should be treated. No one should take this tour with them unless you want to be ripped off. I’m so very upset that this is how I was treated on my honeymoon. Disgusting establishment.
Great tour with variety

Our group of 7 had a great time on this tour.Danny was a great guide, and there was a good variety of things we saw and activities fit for everyone. It was no problem to find the group once we made the way out of the cruise terminal. Our group ended up being split up because there was none in our group of seven that felt comfortable driving the automatic that was intended for 3, so two went with one jeep, four in another, and a third was placed in the automatic jeep with a more confident driver. The jeeps were great, the automatic ones had AC and ran well. Driving in the jungle was very fun and the caves we went to there were short stops but we were never rushed. We swam a bit in the sinkhole with thousands of bats above, and then ended at the beach. Our only hiccup was once we got to the beach there was no snorkeling equipment available right away. There were four cruise ships in port that day so it was very busy. We did end up getting it though, and the water was nice to snorkel in, however it was very hard to stay with the group. The current was strong and I spent a bit more time swimming to catch up than I did looking at the fish and corral. But the weather was nice, and if we were better swimmers it may not have been a problem. All in all, I thought what was provided in the tour was a great value and we all had lots of fun!
Better than booking with the cruise line!

This excursion was an extraordinary experience!! Everyone had an amazing time. Bring bug spray!! We really liked that it was just our small group and we were able to enjoy being with each other instead of a large group. The things we wanted to spend more time on we were able to and when we didn’t want to spend a lot of time on it then we went on. Our tour guide was Miguel, he was very helpful and knowledgeable of the island. We recommend this excursion and would do it again in a second!! We got to taste a few different tequilas, jump off a ledge in to a cenote, drive through the jungle, and visit a temple and church, and snorkel and swim with the fish! All our experiences there were private and relaxing. It was the highlight of our trip!! We will absolutely go back!!

I want to start off by saying my tour was amazing! Our guide was awesome and was great at showing us around. I wouldn't change anything about that at all. Now the reason this gets three stars is because we specifically signed up for a VW Bug Beetle tour because we love VWs. We also booked separate from our friends thinking we would be able to get our own buggy. We did not, but that is not a big deal. The big deal is, we didn't get to drive around a VW bug! They gave us an old Chevy Tracker!!!! Had I known that was the case, I would have booked a Jeep! I'm sorry but I did not book this for a Chevy Tracker. Also, they only had two of us down on the excursion, not four. Luckily they still took all four of us. We had been on a cruise ship for a few days so I had no access to emails or anything unless I paid the outrageous cost for wifi. When we arrived in Cozumel, I was able to access my emails and I received one saying our meet up spot had been changed! Pretty far away at that. Not walking distance at all. They had it all the way down to where the other cruise ships were. Not the one for our specific boat that we put down when we signed up! So, I don't know what happened but it was pretty disorganized figuring it out. Pretty disappointing that we didn't get the VWs because we saw people driving them everywhere! Like I said, our guide was amazing. He did nothing wrong and was nothing but amazing. Just make sure you get what YOU pay for!

Had a lot of fun. Lalo was our guide and he was fantastic. He made sure we had everything we needed and got great service when we stopped for lunch. Very accommodating. Ithe was just my husband and I with a guide so we weren't dealing with a big group of people which was good, we were on our own schedule. The cars thems elves leave a bit to be desired. They are worn out, but we just embraced it as part of the adventure. It is all what you make of it.
