Worst excursion ever! With Indoor America and Jimmy Curtis. Very impolite and uneducated. Call me first and last name. Chose 4 small Asian to sit in the pick up truck. One in front and 3 in rear seats, just like sardines in can.Stuck us in a compact pick up truck and insisted that it is a 4x4 Jeep. Because I complained Viator misleading in the advertisement. Now Viator changes the description to 4x4, not mentioned the word JEEP. Jimmy never apologizes for any inconvenience, totally unprofessional. Never chose this supplier, Inland America and I do not recommend any one to book with Viator any more. Both companies are untrustworthy and not responsible. My rating is zero point or minus

4 of us travelled in a comfortable 4x4 for a bouncy 2 hr. drive with 6 other 4x4's with Jimmy's Tours before reaching the nesting site of King penguins which you can approach to about 3 metres - fantastic photos and unforgettable memories - best tour on our cruise. Our driver Stacey was friendly, capable, and timely for our departure. Would suggest she improve on some general questions of the Falklands.

This is a magnificent tour. Get out to Volunteer Point if you ever have the opportunity to visit the Falkland Islands. Our only drawback on this tour was the misleading information provided by Viator on their trip voucher. The voucher said the tour supplier would be Indoor America - Top Private Tours. In reality, the tour provider was Jimmy Curtis Touring. Furthermore, the voucher specifically stated ... Please get ashore quickly after the ship anchors. We will be waiting for you as you come through the security gate with a large blue flag saying 'EXCURSIONS'. This also was not correct since the only tour company with a large blue flag was not Jimmy Curtis Touring. Since each tender coming into the dock contained 100 persons, there was total confusion once you got on shore. Eventually we got everything straightened out and we on our way to a most memorable day with the Jimmy Curtis touring company. I strongly recommend this group since they are very professional, they provide a very good lunch and, most importantly, they cost a lot less than the same tour offered by the cruise line. In our case, we paid 130 U.S. less per person than what we would have paid on the ship. Although most of the 2 hour 4X4 trip to Volunteer Point is over very rugged terrain mud, hills, high grasses, creeks, across metal planks placed over ditches, etc., it is one you will never forget. On our trip, two of the seven 4X4's in our caravan got stuck in either the mud or a ditch and had to be extracted with a winch -- a typical day at the office in the Falkland Islands. Once we got to Volunteer Point, we certainly were not disappointed since we literally saw 1,000's of penguins among 3 different species King, Gentoo and Magellanic. Both the King and Gentoo live in colonies but the Magellanic live in burrows buried in the ground. In addition to the inland breeding colonies, you can also walk down to the Atlantic Ocean to see the penguins going to and from the sea. We were most fortunate on the day we were there January 9, 2018 in that there was plenty of activity on the shore. At one time, I videoed approximately 50 Gentoo penguins coming out of the sea all at the same time most incredible. If you take this tour, make sure you wear many layers of clothing since the Point can be both cold and windy. Although the temperature was in the 50's when we were there 10 degrees Celsius, the very windy conditions will wear you down over the 2hours you are on land. I've attached some pictures from the tour. Note the one picture I took from our 4X4 of the extremely steep hill top left side of the picture we had to go up on our way back to Stanley. This hill, in my opinion, may have been as steep as 40 degrees.

The tour was wonderful from the riding in the 4x4s to the penguins we saw. We had a problem in locating our tour. Instructions were to look for someone in yellow with a yellow sign with my name on it. That was not the case. After spending 15 minutes waiting for someone with a yellow sign, we began to ask the other tour operators if they had my name. Jimmy had my name on his list. This should have not happened and was very disconcerting.

What an awesome trip. Although the off road trip to get to the penguins was very bumpy it was worth it as a truly memorable experience seeing all the penguins.

Absolutely amazing tour - crossing the challenging tundra to reach the three species of thousands of penguins was well worth the journey. Beautiful beaches just added to the adventure...

If you want adventure, here you get it. The 4x4 wheel drive was truly off-road. No roads there, driving was cross country for very long stretches. I have been driving a Jeep all my life and did not know, what these vehicles can do and the punishment they can take. People with back- or neck problems should definitely avoid this rough trip. But it was rewarding, the sights, the animals, the countryside. The guide was great and a good driver. They go in groups which is good, so they can and do help each other when one gets stuck. A fantastic trip, the only downside was the lunch they offered. Terrible.

We saw many, many penguins which is what the tour was all about. Our driver was very knowledgeable and funny which made the incredibly long drive there and back easier to bear. Be warned that there is a 2 hour drive each way over VERY BUMPY roads for an hour or so of penguin watching. So 4 hours of driving - 1 hour of penguins. The 3 types of penguins as well as the sheep and birds makes the drive worthwhile. I would highly recommend this tour.

Off-road driving, the king penguins, and the coastal scenery were unforgettable memories. Our driver Kurt is very experienced. This is a must do in Falkland.
