Private Guided Day Tour to Luxor from Cairo by Plane

Having lunch with a local Egyptian family. The scenic drive from the airport to the Valley of the king's was amazing. The tour if the tombs, Hapseshut's temple and Luxor temple with our guide Harem was better than I expected ! Want to return for a tour of Aswan next.

If you have limited time and want to see both Giza and Luxor, this tour is a great option. The price quoted was much less than others on Viator, so I called to confirm that they'd honor the price, which they did. They contacted us during the trip, which was a little inconvenient while traveling, so it might be best if they requested passports or other necessary information that the time of booking rather than waiting until the day before. The driver picked us up from our hotel drove us to the airport. The guide and driver were waiting for us when we arrived at the Luxor airport. It was a private tour, which was really nice. Because of the distances between some of the sights we had a little less time than we thought we would, but it was sufficient. The only downside was that at no point did they tell us when our return flight was despite asking several times. Eventually we found out that our return flight was at midnight, which was a huge shock since we arrived so early in the morning. Fortunately they provided us with a hotel to rest for a few hours before the driver took us to the hotel. Arriving in Cairo there was another driver who took us back to our hotel, so everything was seamless. I highly recommend this tour, but wanted to warn everyone NOT to book a tour the next day. We had an early morning tour the next day and were completely exhausted because our midnight flight was delayed so we arrived at 3 am. Other than that, the day was very enjoyable and highly recommended.

I am glad that I tried this tour! Main attraction were Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple, even other places like citadel and old city are also full of ancient history. Now, the beauty of the places is diminish without a good guide. My guide, Hatem, was a real pearl. Knowledgeable, with a sense of humor and very polite man. I highly recommend to go and enjoy this tour!

Alright so the guide was amazing. The problem with this booking was flight times. We were picked up at hour hotel at 2am .......we could have handled that fine, had a great tour that was done around 2-3pm. We never were given our return flight information, which was ended up being a midnight flight. Additionally, you will l needs about 100 usd in entry fees that you will need to pay in Egyptian pounds. Good information to know considering all the other tours we took included fees. I had to extensively complain about the flight situation before anything was done there were two flights I found myself that left 6 and 8 pm but the tour company didn’t even try to get those. Instead they offered to take us light show which was nice but they didn’t seem to understand that we were exhausted because we had been up since 1am to get our pickup for our morning flight.

With just one day to spare, this guided tour was perfect. We saw the best of many ancient Egyptian sites that Luxor offers and had a great lunch, and some shopping too. Our tour guide Ahmed was knowledgeable and easy-going. I would recommend this tour.
