Cappadocia Green Tour

A great tour! I took the green tour. Got to see many things that would be hard on your own. Great driver always where he supposed to be when he was supposed to be there. The guide Jen excellent English and a wealth of knowledge. She was able to answer all my questions. Fantastic lunch on a river. Priced right too

We always book Viator for touring and had great experiences so far. This tour was very good and made even better with our tour guide Selim. and excellent driver Rachid. We were picked up on time and we’re accompanied with eight other people. Selim was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and kind. The Green tour is by far the best one to choose if you really want to experience the breath of this vast region. We wouldn’t have been able to see this much in one day if we had attempted to do it on our own. It was interesting to learn how the fairy chimneys were formed and hard to imagine that Cappadocia was once entirely under water following the Ice age. The Hittite underground cave city was incredible and is worth seeing. Others have written about avoiding this tour if you have any mobility issues or back problems. I’m glad I still decided to go on it regardless. There is some back bending to do in the underground city, However, I’m 5,2 in height and it wasn’t really a problem for me. The hike has also been reviewed as requiring a good level of fitness. I have knee problems but managed the hike! It’s mostly on flat ground with minimal elevated parts which require a bit of climbing but is doable. It is a long walk but Selim allowed my husband and I to walk at our own pace. He came back frequently to check on how I was and ensured that we knew where the rest of the group was at all times. There are frequent stops along the way and lovely little restaurants set on the water where we stopped for a drink and then later for lunch. We met a stray fluffy puppy along the way and my husband decided to take it along to lunch with us....... The food served was from a set menu with a choice of three or four dishes. It was ok but a little bland. If you eat meat go for the meat balls rather than the beef stew my husband didn’t enjoy it that much. Desert was a selection of fruits. I skipped the visit to the cave church as I didn’t want to over do it with my knees but still got good views of the overall scenery. We would highly recommend booking with Stoneland Travel. Ask for Selim.

Really great tour, our guide Sheham was very knowledgeable about all the locations. The green tour takes you very far out of Goreme so it’s a great option to pack a lot into one day

Cappadocia is really amazing and this tour will probably leave you with the reason for it. Our tour guide, selim was knowledgeable and friendly making the whole journey comforting. Left with a slight disappointment that we did not visit the Pigeon valley, maybe perhaps there aren’t any pigeons during winter.

This trip was so amazing, the underground city, trek near the river, the canyon, the stone company and the Turkish delight company and also other small stops we had. The guide (Saleem) explained to us things in detail.

This was an exceptional tour organised by Stone Land travel. Would highly recommend this one day tour. There are similar tours offered by every other travel agency in Cappadocia, but since the tourism is unionised here, the prices vary very little between agencies. After being picked up from our hotel in a minivan, we were transferred to a bus which would take us on the tour. Our guide Mr.Salim was very energetic, friendly and gave the right amount of information at the various stops. The included lunch was a set menu and very basic in quality and quantity, but what else can you expect on group tours. the highlight of the tour was the 3.5km hike along the majestic river in Ilhara Canyon. The natural landscapes was simply breathtaking. The gemstone stop was a bit unnecessary but worth a glance. We were dropped back to the bus station after the tour from where we walked to our hotel. Some guests were offered a drop back to their respcetive hotels on request. Pro tip: Do not carry a heavy bag as this tour involves plenty of walking, crouching, climbing. Leave heavy bags in the tour bus if need be.

It was a beautiful tour. Guide Salim was good and funny in the beginning but later he was bit rude and talking about Religion and blaming other countries. Which was not acceptable when there are people of all nationalities. The food was ok. Could have been better.

The Green Tour was well conducted and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and catered to the requirements of all. The pick up was in time, the coach nice and the lunch at the end was a good spread catering to all tastes. The Direnkeu underground caves tour was very well conducted and the Ihalara valley trek very nice. Worth the money and time. A good trup

I will rate this tour really good. The agency was nice.. The guide mustafa was amazing and was loud and clear.. He made it so interesting and answered every query.. Underground city, salima monastry are never to be missed..
