Meet at the ferry pier in Sok Kwu Wan (or Picnic Bay) on the east coast of Lamma Island at 9:05am. From there, follow your guide to the kayak base to change into your kayaking gear and to get the kayaks ready to go for the day. Your guide gives you a short instructional lesson about how to safely handle the kayaks in the water, including good-to-know techniques for controlling which direction you go in the water.
When everyone in your group feels comfortable and is ready, you'll paddle together along the coast to a beach. Your group pulls up onto the white-sand beach for a bite to eat. Enjoy a relaxed lunch, and take a dip in the water, too.
Afterward, hike up to Turtle Beach. This area is home to one of Hong Kong’s only nesting places for endangered sea turtles, so your chances of spotting some turtles are pretty high. Make your way to Yung Shue Wan where your guide leaves you to explore on your own. You can stay in Yung Shue Wan as long as you’d like. Just take note that the ferry leaves every 40 minutes up until 10:30pm.
