This 90-minute tour begins with a meet and greet at the wine shop, on location at Covert Farms Family Estate in Oliver, British Columbia, Canada.
Tour Canada's only pocket desert, travelling over sands left behind by the melting of Ice Age glaciers. Pick, taste, and shop for farm-fresh produce and local wines at this 650-acre organic farm. Travel in a vintage, 1952 Mercury, 1-ton tour truck. These Mercury trucks were only available in Canada at the time — this one impeccably restored with its original V8-engine. Along the way, discover the desert's rare antelope-brush eco-system, home to coyotes, mule deer, California quail, gopher snakes and red-tailed hawks.
Also, feed longhorn cattle, pick (and eat) strawberries and organic vegetables and sample up to 13 varieties of grapes.
Upon returning to the winery, enjoy a wine pairing with snacks in the rustic lounge and a tasting, at leisure, in the well-stocked wine shop.
