If you’re thinking about it, do it

Took the one day tour on 14 March with Anya. What can I say? From pick up to drop off she was amazing. Anya was so knowledgable about Chernobyl and encouraged us to question her on anything. The trip was a present for my husband who has longed to do this trip for years. And it exceeded all expectations. Nothing was too much trouble for Anya. She even asked if there was anything in particular wanted to see and she would take us there. Lunch was provided which was chicken or pork and although not a la carte, it was lovely. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who is thinking of doing it. The contact from Viator from the minute we booked until getting picked up was prompt. Unfortunately I think our tour was one of the last ones due to Coronavirus shutting down countries but if you ever get the chance to do, you should, before nature takes it all back and there is nothing left to see. It was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. Especially thanks to Anya!!
Great Overview Trip!

This was such a great experience for seeing the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The 2 hour ride from Kyiv was comfortable thanks to our driver, Sergiy, and informative thanks to videos and commentary from our guide, Yulia. We saw the Russian Woodpecker, Chernobyl, Chernobyl 2, and Pripyat, along with the power plant. The lunch that was included was very nice as well. If you want a more immersive experience I would suggest doing the 2 or 3 day trip with this same company, SoloEast Travel.

A day to remember

The tour was excellent. On route we were shown some documentaries of the sites to raise our anticipation. Then our knowledgable guide Tanya skillfully navigated us through the containment zone. The abandoned villages, the power plant itself and the evacuated city of Pripyat leave a hauntingly beautiful impression. We were able to explore the locations in a comfortable pace and never felt rushed. The lunch was excellent as well, located in the current Tchernobyl town. We had an amazing day and would recommend this to anyone with a thirst for urban exploring, history or adventure.

Everything about this trip was 10/10. Sasha our driver and guide was fantastic. Knowledgable, spoke very good English and friendly. The tour was unreal - chilling, but unreal. The things we covered and the understanding we gained was unbelievable. On our journey to Chernobyl, a video was prepared with key details and information which gave us more of an insight into the disaster. The food was great- it was a strange feeling to be eating in the cafeteria, however everything was safe. Overall it has been a trip we will never forget. Thank you Sash.

Good Trip Bad Roads
, Feb 2020
My wife and I watched the HBO film and decided we had to see the real thing. Overall a good experience, but first you have to brave the bus trip due to the poor conditions of the Ukrainian roads, fast driving, and (for us) sitting in the back. Fortunately, they do show good videos of the history of the site and incident. When we arrived at the first checkpoint I was a little concerned with the number of tour busses and people, but fortunately we saw surprisingly few people while we were on the tour. The tour definitely delivered what it advertised and was well worth the time and money. The only reason I did not give the tour a 5-star rating was that the guide did not really highlight how the incident at Chernobyl happened, just focused on what happened.
