Traveler Tips

If you are going in winter bus tours are not heated and it can be quite cold so layer up.
That's ok if you're hopping off the bus, but it was a bit rainy and windy and most people were staying on the bus.

London bash

Easy to hop on and off, to go places. Bus driver were very helpful. Buses were clean and ran on a timely fashion.
Worth every penny!
Wendy_H, Aug 2022
Worth every penny! Easy to book on a easy to navigate website. Was able to reserve our seats for £1 and pay the rest nearer the time. Tickets sent to both phone and email for ease of access on our trip. Great communication throughout from this company. All of the bus drivers were extremely friendly and helpful. Free ear phones provided to listen to the on-board commentary, which was so useful. Staff were on hand to help throughout the tour at various stops. Bus stops were easy to locate and not too far apart. All major attractions covered. River cruise was outstanding. The staff provided a light hearted and informative commentary, which made us laugh. This tour made our day in London perfect. We managed to see all of the sights in one day and it was so easy to get around. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again!

The history of the city was great, stop location was well marked with the Big Bus name. The boat ride gave you different look of the city from a distant. I’ll recommend trip to others
Useful but not extraordinary
Nitsa_W, Aug 2022
Pro: Big Bus was a handy way to get around the key areas in London Pro: one of the drivers was extremely helpful in advising us how to reach a couple of landmarks Cons: Taped commentary with not a lot of useful content
Perfect way to see London
Tiffany_S, Aug 2022
What a perfect way to see London! Great for our family of 5. Took in all of the sites in 1 day. Hopped off to see the Churchill War Rooms and everything in the vicinity. So easy. Just perfect. Highly recommend.
Great views. Loved crossing Tower Bridge
Betsy_G, Aug 2022
Great way to see the city. Helped us gauge where the sites are and have us glimpses of ones we couldn’t squeeze into our agenda.

Eh.
Karen_G, Aug 2022
The River cruise was the best part. The audio guide didn't match up to where we were due to construction and road closures. I was left not knowing where anything truly was. And the audio tour wasn't the best.

Guided bus tour was great
Samantha_H, Aug 2022
The bus was very convenient to take from location to location but the real value is in taking the guided night tour. Our tour guide Paul was wonderful and very knowledgeable about all the different sites around London and I would highly recommend doing this part of the experience.
Finding the bus stop?
Cheryl_W, Aug 2022
We had difficulty finding exactly where to get on the bus. We walked around for about 30 minutes trying to find the London Bridge stop. I also would have preferred a little more London history and a few less jokes on the tapes. Next time I will wait until I get to the city I’m going to and find the bus stop before I buy my tickets.
Great for one day
Scott_M, Aug 2022
Very witty commentary. I would have done just one day instead of two next time. The river cruise was informative and beautiful. Overall a nice addition to our visit.

There are no instructions as to where the bus picks you up. Tried different bus stops but the bus bypassed us.

Fun time on The Big Bus.
Carla_K, Aug 2022
We were able to tour London and were able to see many wonderful sights for a reasonable price. The only disadvantage was having to wait over an hour for the bus to make it to our stop on Tothill Street, first thing in the morning.
Very disappointed
armando_A, Aug 2022
Very disappointed with the BIG BUS experience. 85% was loud music . Narration was lacking of what all there was to see. Granted all cannot be said, but one would think that the very important sights would be better described other than by immature jokes. We also were bypassed by the 2nd driver. I need to use a cane and by the time I walked down the stairs we wer two stops after ours. He yelled at saying I did tell him to stop. All the day riding and I never heard anyone they wanted off. I told him to just dropped us off at the next stop and I would call a taxi. He insisted to take me to my oringial stop this upsetting more customers after they saw they were not on the proper route. He was very rude and his driving was awful. The many times I have taken this type of tour, I would never recommend this company in sightseeing England

It was very easy to book excursions and everything went well, thank you. I would recommend Viator to my family and friends to book their trips.
Do not recommend
Courtney_E, Aug 2022
The view from the top of the bus was nice and the breeze was great on a hot day. The problem I had was it took 2 hours to get from the drop we got on to another stop that would’ve taken 10 min by tube. Also it’s very hard to know where the bus is stopping because it did not go in numerical order. No announcement was made. Couldn’t get recorded audio to work at our seats and bus was packed. Do not recommend. Spend your money on using the tube to get where you want to go.

not worth the money
Margarita_B, Aug 2022
Did not enjoy the tour. Commentaries not interesting at all. Take any bus instead, much cheaper. Waist of money
Worst experience ever
Elizabeth_S, Aug 2022
We could not locate a bus. We went to 3 different stops- waited nearly an hour at each but no bus ever arrived. Tried calling the listed number, but got no answer. Miserable first day in London.
A great day out!
robert_a, Aug 2022
We had a fantastic day out at Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. Our tour director, Richard, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Take the day away from London and see these historic areas in the west of England.
A must do tour of London
Jude_M, Aug 2022
Excellent tour with very good commentary. Beautiful weather enabled us to make use of the open top facility on the bus.
