Meet your guide, an experienced photographer, in Queensbridge Square on Melbourne’s Southbank and set out to explore the city by night, armed with your camera and tripod.
Your 3-hour photography masterclass will introduce you to tips and techniques used by professional photographers, and you’ll learn how to set your aperture and shutter speed; how to compose, frame, and focus your image; and how to get creative with angle and perspective. As you’ll be shooting in low-light conditions, your guide will also take time to explain how best to use a tripod, and which settings to use to ensure you capture the dramatic lights and atmosphere without losing focus or picture quality.
Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to put your newfound skills into action as you turn your lens to Melbourne’s glittering skyline and illuminated landmarks. After three hours shooting the city’s highlights, your tour ends back in central Melbourne.
Please note: A camera and tripod is required for this workshop. Your guide also recommends that you bring a jacket, umbrella (just in case) and a remote trigger if possible.
