Amalfi Coast And Pompeii Private Tour

Our Amalfi Coast experience was wonderful. We really enjoyed the drive, the stops in Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. But it was the people who really made the day amazing.  Emanuele, our driver, and Lucio, our Pompeii guide, were both exceptional. Manuel was a careful and considerate driver. He arrived to pick us up and brought us back to the ship right on time. He planned a great route that day, and we were able to miss crowds and traffic. He drove at a good speed, not too fast, and very carefully. He was very friendly and told us about the places we were visiting. He walked us to the pedestrian paths, and, after inquiring about what kind of meal we would like, showed us a good restaurant for lunch in Sorrento. His English is very good too.  I can't say enough good things about Manuel. We felt safe on our drive, like we were traveling with a good friend. He made our day very special.Lucio was a very knowledgeable guide of Pompeii. He was so pleasant, and helpful, and had a good sense of humor. His English was very good, and he explained about the history of Pompeii in a way that was easy to understand and very informative. Lucio was also very solicitous and helpful about us make our way through the ruins and over the various stones and steps. I don't think we could've found a better or more pleasant guide for Pompeii.So thank you for giving us these 2 great men to make our Amalfi and Pompeii experiences so wonderful.

I can't say enough good things about this excursion. Our driver, Emanuale, was great. He was a careful driver, planned the best schedule for our drive and Pompeii visit, suggested a great restaurant for lunch, knew answers for all our questions, and was very pleasant and friendly. Lucio our guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable and nice, and had a good sense of humor. Our day starting in Naples was very memorable because of the 2 men that did all they could to make our day special. It was an unforgettable tour day for us, and we highly recommend this excursion.

This was a very busy day as we had a lot to pack in. Our driver Manuel was very friendly and cheerful. Although not a guide , he engaged with us along the way and suggested a nice restaurant in Sorrento. He had good local knowledge to miss the crowded towns and manage our time to our advantage. On the journey, we were also entertained with Manuel’s fine singing. Pompeii At Pompeii, we took the optional extra using a guide recommended by Mario called Lucio. He was very knowledgeable and he engaged us with his explanations as he explained what the archaeologists had uncovered. It was an informative 2 hour slot but we felt that we should have spent 4 hrs in Pompei as we only scratched the surface . This was our problem as it was the itinerary we had chosen . This trip was great value compared to other group excursions even when we took the optional extra Pompeii guide. The small roads around the amalfi coast are difficult for coaches, so always use these guys!
