Pompei Ruins & Horseback riding on Vesuvius with Lunch!

We took our grandchildren to Pompei for a few days and wanted to make it special. The whole day was fantastic, our guide around the archeological site was incredible, passionate as well as knowledgeable. We then continued on to the horse riding something the children had never done, the views were breath taking. the children had the best time and we’re riding unaided the whole time (under very close supervision) and are desperate to do it again, we then went on to a superb lunch and wine tasting, this originally when we booked it seemed an extravagance but it really wasn’t, you can’t put a price on these memories. Thanks so much for a great day.

This was one of the best days we had in Italy! My friends and I thought horseback riding would be fun, and boy were we blown away! The tour through Pompeii was fantastic - our guide knew everything and took us through places we wouldn't have found on our own. The winery was amazing with great views and great food and GREAT WINE! I bought a case to be shipped back - it was that good! Then the horseback riding exceeded our expectations in every way. The guide was funny and thoughtful and very respectful of our individual abilities on the horses. We had a great time and definitely recommend this tour to anyone of any ability level! These guys are the best!

Great tour! Pompeii tour was great with Roberta (although I could spend all day there) then the horseback ride was great! Wonderful views throughout and Provolone was a good, relaxed horse to ride. Ended with a lovely wine tasting and delicious meal and the view was beautiful. I would totally recommend this trip, it was worth the money!

The tour of Pompeii was very informative and our guide was quite knowledgeable . The lunch was delicious. Unfortunately , we could go on the horseback ride because it had rained all morning and it would be dangerous for the horses. We did however the next best thing. We went to the stables and saw the horses and the farm. It was a delightful day.

Excellent tour through Pompei with a very knowledgeable English speaking guide then an easy, comfortable trail ride through beautiful vineyards. Next a delicious lunch with wine tasting at their family restaurant. Everything was perfect and our hosts were wonderfully gracious.

There really is much to explore in the city of Pompeii that a 2 hour guide can’t explain it all for you, but those 2 hours with our guide was awesome. She was very excited to show us the history that surrounds the city. If you have time, I recommend taking 2 days for the city and explore. It’s immaculate, one day is simply not enough. The horse back riding was great, it felt good to get out of the city and up into the country side. The vineyards were beautiful and the wine and food at the end was a perfect end. Highly recommend!

As promised, Giuseppe (co-owner) picked up at our cruise port in Naples at 8:30 am and drove us directly to Pompei where Antonio (an archeologist) provided us (and one other couple) a ~2+ hour educational glimpse into what life was like in the city until that fateful day when Vesuvius erupted. No lines and no waiting to get in..it was a breeze. After the tour, Antonio handed us back to Giuseppe and he drove us to the ranch where we had some light refreshment and then got on our horses. We rode through numerous vineyards and the views were spectacular. What was really cool is that this wasn't the usual boring trail walk...we had several chances to get the horses galloping...FUN!! Then, as if we hadn't had enough of a great experience, we suddenly arrived at this beautiful villa / restaurant (Sorrentino Vesuvio) which had floor to ceiling windows that look out over Sorrento and the island of Capri. It was there that we had an incredible wine tasting experience (5 different wines) along with our own individual meat platter, olives, grilled vegetables, bruschetta and cheeses! After the dining experience (well over an hour), Giuseppe drove us back to our cruise port - Good planning as it would have been difficult to get back on the horse after the wine! My wife and I took several tours during our 3 days in Rome and 7 day cruise covering Spain, France and Italy. This was by far THE BEST tour of them all. You won't be disappointed.

We had a great time from start to finish. We had our luggage with us as we hadn't been able to check into our accommodation earlier, and the tour staff were very helpful and understanding about this. The Pompeii tour included a lot of information that I doubt would be available on a larger tour, and the smaller group made it a lot more engaging. Lunch after the tour at the winery was wonderful, and gave us a great chance to relax as a group. The ride after lunch was great - beautiful, characterful horses and the entire family went out of their way to help us enjoy the experience. This was very memorable, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Campania.

This was one of the best tours on our trip to Italy. Maria was are guide in Pompeii and did a wonderful job she was friendly and knowledgeable of all the sights and answered all are questions Then we had lunch at the winery on Mt Vesuvius 4 courses meal with wine tasting. Then horseback riding through the vineyards with Mt Vesuvius in the back ground. All are guides where wonderful and experienced in there fields. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. Loved it all
