Brilliant Day

This was a fantastic shore excursion carried out by Peter Giddy Tours. Our guide for the day, Mike Andrews, was waiting for us when we disembarked and we set off early to Addo, just the two of us and Mike. After a couple of hours are so wildlife spotting and watching Mike took us to a rest area and laid out a fabulous picnic lunch prepared by his wife. After a further couple of hours or so we headed back to the port after a truly memorable day. Mike is a brilliant person to have with you at Addo. He is informative and knowledgeable and catered to our every need, stopping when we spotted something and reversing when necessary, I can’t praise him enough, thanks Mike. We saw lots of wildlife including elephants, kudu, red hartebeest, zebra, buffalo, warthog, jackal, blue cranes, giant tortoises, ostriches, dung beetles and even a giant snail. All in all a fabulous day and highly recommended.

Expensive

I guess I was disappointed because it was a minivan that sat 13, no open windows so all of my photos were taken through glass. Our guide was very nice, not his fault about the vehicle which also broke down, had to be jump started and then towed.Also not anyones fault that we saw very few elephants(count on one hand from a great distance)Lunch was good.

Sue. We do apologise for the vehicle issues. Yes. It was unfortunate that Frank (Our Guided for the day) tried to move to allow other vehicles place to see the Lions and then had an issue with the vehicle. However nobody can deny that having to get the vehicle going with Lions just 10 meters away, was to at least some extent, exciting. On this particular day, viewing of Elephants was extremely difficult. Very few people saw these Giants of Africa. Sue -- We would love to invite you to give it another go the next time you visit Port Elizabeth. We would like to "Make it up to you". We have a variety of tours. And we will certainly make it a good value for money experience the second time around. Peter 26.1.2020

Notre guide Franck est venu pile à l'heure (9 h) nous chercher à notre hotel . C'était un guide indépendant avec son 4x4 personnel , très compétent ; Il savait où mettre son véhicule pour que l'on soit entouré d'éléphants ou de zèbres , que l'on puisse prendre les meilleurs photos sans danger. il nous a payé le restaurant de la réserve faute d'avoir prévu le pique nique car il ne savait pas qu'il était compris dans le prix (mais on n'a pas abusé ) Il nous a ramené à notre hotel vers 17 h après une très belle journée
