Enjoy a bike ride from Cesky Krumlov to Trebon (63 km = 38 miles by bicycle) on your second day. The route leads through the beautiful hilly landscape surrounding Cesky Krumlov. The closer you get to Trebon area, the flatter the landscape becomes and the scenic ride through a picturesque landscape ends in Trebon, which is also well-known as a major spa resort. Do not miss to visit Schwarzenberg Tomb and take a massage, whirlpool or other services at Trebon's wellness center (at own expense).
Your third day will take you from Trebon to Telc (78 km = 47 miles by bicycle). Before that, enjoy an optional tour of Trebon chateau in the morning (at own expense). The bike trail winds along many ponds and man-made lakes, so typical of this region, to Perslak, the most northern point of Austria. You will follow the border with Austria on the Green-ways trail passing through Nova Bystrice, where you will have lunch. From Nova Bystrice the trail will take you through the forests of the National Park called Czech Canada. The day ends in Telc, a renaissance town registered on the UNESCO cultural heritage list.
Day 4 brings you from Telc to Vranov (54 km = 33 miles by bicycle) with an optional tour of Telc chateau in the morning. You will ride through several charming villages typical for this area of the country. Cycle gently through the region of South Moravia. You will stay overnight in Vranov which is situated near a dam.
On your 5th day, you will be riding from Vranov to Znojmo (32-38 km = 20-23 miles by bicycle). Cycle on the Green-ways trail following the river Dyje and the southern Czech border with Austria. This very beautiful trail leads through the national park of Dyje. Znojmo is the gateway to the region of South Moravia, a region of wine production.
Day 6 includes the ride from Znojmo to Mikulov (62-72 km = 37-43 miles by bicycle). This flatland region is a traditional vine-growing area and there are many wine cellars. Dinner is usually arranged in a restaurant and includes a wine tasting. Mikulov is a town with a rich history, a beautiful castle and an historical square.
On day 7 you will be biking from Mikulov to Vienna (50 km = 30 miles by bicycle). Cross the border at the Mikulov border checkpoint and spend the rest of the day in Austria. There are vineyards, fields and small villages along the trail in Austria. We recommend finishing the cycling part of the tour in Mistelbach (48 km) and traveling by car to Vienna.
Spend your 8th and last day in Vienna where your tour ends with a breakfast.
