Meet your tour coach at Reykjavik Terminal in the morning to embark on your tour of Iceland's North Atlantic coast. Find your seat and enjoy onboard WiFi, USB charging ports at each seat, and an audio guide available in 10 languages. Take off along the North Atlantic coast and into the volcanoes and lava fields in Hengill. Arrive in the rolling farmland of the southern coastline, with views of the Hekla Volcano on sunny days. Catch a glimpse of the Eyjafjalljökull Volcano and the glaciers on its slopes, as well as the jagged, volcanic Vestmannaeyjar Islands punctuating the ocean that lies beyond. Make your initial stop at the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, a 196-foot (60-meter) cascade, which you can skirt on foot due to its hidden posterior pathway. Continue to the Skógafoss Waterfall; climb a short flight of stairs to the top to see one of the country's best lookout points. At Sólheimajökull Glacier, break out your camera for fantastic photos of the otherworldly ice fields. Next, walk on the dark landscape of Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, watching the ocean crash up against the jagged basalt sea stacks and columns. Return to Reykjavik Terminal in comfort where your tour will end.
I really loved this excursion. The sightseeing was amazing and the tour guide “addi” was one of the best part of the trip. He showed us his personal favorite locations and it was all in all a great experience. Would recommend.
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time. Our guide Ziggy, Son Of Olaf, was hugely informative and a great spirit. We learned about the culture, the land itself, and the history of the island. The views and mini-hikes that we did were beautiful (in June) and felt very special, as a couple spots were virtually tourist-free (besides our group).
this is a full day - 11 hours - tour including hotel pick up. But there is so much to see - Falls, glaciers, black sand beaches, geysers - the South Coast seems to have it all. The guide was very knowledgable and gave us lots of history, information and tips during the long drives from point to point. Some of the stops were too long but afforded the opportunity to shop or purchase a snack or coffee or lunch. Pretty well balanced and the geography is so amazing.
What s great day, many miles covered with a great driver and toor guide. Easy to use tablet computers to guide you on the way. With many magical waterfalls and surprises of Mother Nature. You won’t be disappointed...
Stunning tour. The host was nice, however, the enforcement of time keeping was very poor. People on the bus were continually late coming back and the host did little to change this. We had previously done a GC tour the day before and they were excellent by comparison. The tour running late was impacting other tours we had planned for the evening time. We voiced this to the host who was initially quiet nice about it but then she got irritated. She called us and a few others in the same predicament 'impatient'. Whilst I understand the drop off process is long and they do the best they can, I felt all this could be avoided if the host had managed the timings of the day properly!
This South Coast Classic Golden Circle Tour was amazing! I enjoyed the tour guide and the “behind the scenes” information she was able to give in addition to the information from the tablet! It was a very relaxed and informal atmosphere and the sites were breathtaking ❤️ I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland for the first time and not sure where to go
