This essential tour begins with a visit to the Vatican Museums where you will skip the line with our Priority Access, allowing you more time to discover great works of art by Michelangelo and Raphael. Travel through the Gallery of the Tapestries, Gallery of the Maps, and the Raphael Rooms * (available on during the early morning tours, English and German at 8:30, Spanish at 9:30, French at 10:00) as you make your way to one of the most revered places to see in Rome and the world, the Sistine Chapel. An absolute must-see in Rome, our guide walks you through amazing works of art including Michelangelo's The Last Judgement, the largest fresco ever painted by one man. Explore the endless wonders as our guide tells you the stories behind these famous masterpieces. The Vatican portion of this tour concludes with St. Peter's Basilica, the most renown work of Renaissance architecture and one of the largest churches in the world.

The next stop on this sightseeing tour will be the most impressive monument of Ancient Rome, the Colosseum. A symbol of The Eternal City and the largest remaining amphitheater in the world, the Colosseum inspires and awes. You will then wander through the incredible Roman Forum, a valley which rests between the picturesque Palatine and Capitoline Hills.

Your Rome itinerary would not be complete without a visit to some of the most famous attractions in all of Italy. Admire the remarkable Pantheon, whose famous perforated dome still remains the largest and most significant one ever built. Then witness one of the most famous fountains in Rome, the Trevi Fountain. Recently restored, the Trevi Fountain is brighter and more beautiful than ever before.

The tour ends at Piazza Navona, a square famous for its three fountains by Bernini and extremely interesting anecdotes, which our guides will enthusiastically share with you.

Great tour of the Vatican and the museum during the morning. You have a couple hours to get lunch and across town to meet at the second meeting point for part two. We enjoyed both of these tours and saw many treasures of Rome!

The Vatican tour morning was nice for the exception of our tour guide having us do circles for a little while and allow other groups to cut us off at the entry gate/admission area. However, she was very informative and we got to see everything inside the Vatican. The sculptures and paintings were worth the line hassle outside in the morning. FYI... you need a taxi/metro to get to the second half of the tour on the other side of downtown Rome area. Out afternoon tour was phenomenal, our tour guide was very informative and she definitely discussed past and present Roman traditions that are interesting. Colosseum is definitely an epic experience but get ready for some serious walking... so bring comfy shoes and water. Around this time of year it's nice and warm in Rome. Highly recommended.
