Driver drove way too fast and tailgated. I had to ask him to slow down. Price was over $50 more than contracting directly with local van service. We paid $184 for 4 people with baggage in a private van, but only $132 when we returned to the hotel booking on our own. The Viator price for the return was $90 more than the trip to the cruise port. We cancelled the Viator return and saved $143 just on that one segment!
Did not show up, Viator has not yet refunded my payment. Service provider called at time of pickup to say they would be at least 1 hour late, ended the call by saying if they were going to be later, they would call me back. Obviously, I had to find another means of getting to our cruise ship, local service provider and Viator are not refunding my money. I would not use this service.
While the transfer car/van was on time and the driver was cordial, the overall experience was poor. He showed up in a van without air conditioning. And it was hot. Then the motor/engine problem started and we pulled into a gas station for water or coolant? We were a bit stressed that we might not make it to Civitavecchia Port. We did arrive and abruptly took our bags. No thank you. No apology. Nothing. Try another car service. Car troubles happen, but it wasn't managed well in my opinion.
this is the way to go if you are traveling from rome to the cruise port they were on time and the ride was comfortable we saw the people getting off the buses supplied by the cruise ships and i was so glad we didnty go that route they didnt look happy waiting for everybody else
