Make your own way to Arigato Japan's Cooking School Kitchen, located only 10 minutes from Tokyo Tower, and greet your culinary instructor. After donning an apron, you’ll receive an introduction to staple Japanese ingredients featured in the majority of classic dishes.
Once you’re familiar with these integral ingredients, prepare dashi (soup stock) and miso (fermented bean paste) before starting to make tamagoyaki and two other side dishes, depending on what compliments the main dish.
Proceed to the main dish, which could be a number of Japanese classics including nikujyaga (Japanese beef stew), shogayaki (pork with ginger), grilled fish with miso or chicken Teriyaki, and learn to present your plates like a professional.
Sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor, accompanied by Japanese tea and wagashi (traditional sweets), and chat with your fellow food lovers. Before leaving the cookery school, collect recipe cards featuring the dishes cooked in class.
