Explore Tucson's colorful history and discover fun facts about bank robbers and its early Spanish settlers on a guided 10-mile (16 - kilometer), 2- 2.5-hour bike tour through the city. The relaxed pace and varied terrain — from quiet avenues to bustling university bike lanes — will offer plenty of opportunity to discover the area's unique architecture and colorful alleyways.

  • 2 to 2.5-hour-bike tour with small group of seven or less through Tucson, Arizona including bicycle, helmet, and bottled water
  • Ride over Rattlesnake Bridge, a 28-foot-long bridge that’s really shaped like a diamondback rattlesnake as your guide tells tales of bank robbers and outlaws that used to ravage the area
  • Cycle down the narrow streets of the historical neighborhood of Barrio Viejo, and see colorful adobe homes and fascinating shrines
  • Get a great view of the Santa Cruz River as you cruise through Barrio Kroger Lane
  • Choose from a morning or afternoon departure
  • Not recommended for pregnant women or people with back problems, and you must be 4'8" to 6'6" tall (142-198cm) to participate

Depending on if you chose a morning or afternoon departure, meet your group at the 4th Avenue shopping district at 9am or 1:30pm. Get a bicycle appropriate for your height and a helmet, and listen to a short safety orientation led by your guide.

Your Tuscon adventure begins with a ride over to Rattlesnake Bridge, the 28-foot-long downtown bridge that was completed in 2002. The bridge is actually shaped like a real diamondback rattlesnake. Make sure to hold onto your handles as you bike through its body and your guide tells tales of bank robbers and outlaws that used to reside in the area.

Then, it’s a quick trip through Armory Park. On your bike, explore the historical streets of Barrio Viejo, and see colorful adobe homes and fascinating shrines. Cruise down Barrio Kroger Lane and get a closer look at the Santa Cruz River.

Then head back to 4th Avenue—the spot you started—to give back your bike and helmet and to say goodbye to your group.

Jimmy was excellent at giving us a tour, the bikes were decent and in good operation. The tour covered much of historic Tucson. Most of the ride was flat, some mild hills to pedal. Even if you are not used to biking or physical activity, this was a 3 out of 10 on biking difficulty.

Loved this!. One of the highlights of our two week tour of Italy. Our guide Alexa was wonderful! Tour of castle and wine cellar were great, the biking was hilly, but manageable had to walk part of a few hills, and the views were spectacular. Lunch and wine at the castle after were divine!! Highly recommend.
