Positives: clean, well-maintained buses. Stops at all major attractions. Audio guide that shared interesting information about the city.
Negatives: We had a pass for 2 days, but were only able to use the 2nd day. We had difficulty on the first day due to a large parade that blocked many routes and as a result could not locate buses with as much ease as we did on the 2nd day. When we did locate a bus, it was unbelievably hot inside, either air was not working or not turned on. Way too hot to use. Got off asap. Day 2, weather was cooler and bus windows were open making it much more comfortable. Overall, a good experience just not super because of our first day.
Very well organized compared to other tour operators

This is one of the better Hop On Hop Off bus tours we have used. The buses are new, the headphone commentary is well synchronized with the surroundings, the interim music is appropriate and not too loud, and the ground staff are very willing to help potential customers. We had a great time!
We bought three days usage, and that was a mistake. It would have been better to use the bus for one day to get the lay of the land,m then the public transport for the remainder. The drop off/pick up locations were unmarked and difficult to find. But for a one time usage, to get an overall picture, the bus would have been great
Bus was a nice way to see the city in a short amount of time. The day tour used headphones which was not as good as the evening tour with a live guide to interact with. The live guide was very knowledgeable of the city and interesting to listen to.
My wife and I chose the 72 hour Hop On/Hop Off package, and it was great. Started using it the first afternoon we arrived on the Red Line, then caught the Night Tour that first night. The next day we did the Danube River boat tour, then more of the RedLine HO/HO tour of the city. Our final full day, we took the Red Line into the city center, and switched over to the Blue Line route to see a totally different side of Vienna. The narrated tours were great, and the live Night Tour was not only informative, but also very entertaining. Great way to see a new city and the major sites.
Buying the two pass entitled us to the red route the blue route a night tour and a walking tour excellent value no long waits buses clean clear information and the added live chat with the night tour a nice touch.
Helpful tour to get the lay of the land and to see some museums and palaces, the opera, etc. I you're planning to hop on/hop off at more than a couple of stops, I would advise at least a two day pass, otherwise you'll need to pick and choose which stops will warrant your interest. Sit at the front of the bus in winter because it's hard to see much with the plastic cover on the top. It is covered...I wasn't sure it would be because there was nothing in the materials that indicated that. I think it is worth the cost even if you plan to take it for just one day.
The tour operators were extremely helpful. The narrative was easy to understand. Taking the blue and red tours gave us a good idea of the city layout and prompted us to visit sights not originally on our list. Plus, we benefittedvfrom a promovgiving is a third day free!
