"Great experience. I travelled to Peru solo and did this tour between my stays in Cusco and Lima. The property is well kept and the staff is very acommodating. I had hot water in my cabin during my stay and they provided filtered and bottled water thoughout the stay. I also was able to met a lot of fellow travellers during mral times in the main hall. The tours were organized - they provide you with several types of activites to explore different parts of the jungle. You arent guaranteed to see any wildlife - its very dependent on the weather, time of day, luck, ect - but i thought each of the activities offered something special. I went on 4 of the 6 excursions offered during my stay and only on 1 we didnt see any animals. Definitely a great option for first timers in the jungle."

"Don’t let the price scare you. We had wonderful time in the lodge. We were staying at Monte Amazonico Lodge. I guess more expensive packages offer better accommodation. But the one we stayed was very good. All duplex styles cabins. Hammock is at your porch and around the lodge. The whole lodge was pretty big. Food included was freshly cooked daily and delicious. You can pick star fruit, coconut and citrus anytime you want. Our guide Luis was very knowledgeable. He was very thorough for every tour. We added the clay lick. It was a unique thing to see. Yes. There are mosquitoes. We worn long pants and shirts. No insect repellent spray. It went fine. The only drawback is no hot shower in the room. Well, most of the year you don’t need hot water except 2-3 months winter time. I would recommend this package to anyone."

"The whole experience was great. Jungle Pro collected us from the airport and the tour guides and office staff were informative and super helpful. The jungle tour itself was fascinating, our tour guides were really knowledgable in relation to the wildlife and jungle surroundings. They were also knowledgable of the localised area and added in an extra boat trip early in the morning on our last day so we could see a family of otters starting their day! There is water and juice available readily and local food served at all meal times. I’m a vegetarian and they catered specially for this really well. The accommodation / lodges were well equipped with towels and mosquito nets too. Overall we had a brilliant time!"

"My guide Miguel grew up in the Amazon jungle which allowed him to speak to animals and his ability to spot animals was incredible. He has eagle eyes for sure. The lodge was clean, good food, and very relaxing since no internet. You are in complete nature which is beautiful. I saw many animals w Miguel. It’s definitely unforgettable experience. Bring good bug spray, those mosquitoes are insane"

"We had a great time in the Amazon. We’ve experienced all aspects of the Rainforest. We have been very lucky in spotting animals, but our very knowledgeable guide Ronal has undoubtedly played an important role in this. The accommodation was also fine and the staff were very helpful. We definitely recommend this tour!"

"Jair was a perfekt guide and very good at english. We had great fun witt the canoes, the monkeys were so funny (but we should have had bananas with is) and the zipline was marvelous! Excelent lunch! Really recommend this tour and thanks a lot to you Jair!"

"We saw pink dolphins from real close, and huge lily pads on the Amazon river, caught piranha while fishing, saw a snake, tarantula, tiny black monkeys in the jungle, got to dance with indigenous community. The food was made from scratch and was delicious! We missed the sunrise as it rained that night and was cloudy, but otherwise it was a Great experience! Our 10 y/o enjoyed everything. The blue swimming pool at the lodge was not cleaned the day we were there, so she could not swim. It was very hot and humid and beware the mosquitoes. We did not choose to go on the night trek for this reason. You need rubber boots and ponchos for sure, as you never know when it will rain, especially in the rainy season, which ends in June. Also take lots of bug spray with you. 5 stars to the tour guide, Jimy. He was just great! And tour operator, Carlos took care of everything! Would highly recommend Jimy. He speaks English. They arrange separate guides for english and spanish speaking groups, which is great! Our tour group was just our family of 5."

"We've stayed for 3 days 2 nights and it was amazing experience. Best food, quiet surroundings, stargazing, beautiful sunsets. Fernandez went an extra mile to make our stay memorable. He waited for an extra hour for the fog to clear during our Parrot Lick Tour so that we can see different parrots while other boats went back. Highly recommend."

"We stayed at the Heliconia Lodge near Iquitos for three days. It was a unique and truly magnificent experience. The tour operators really know how to efficiently schedule the various activities, so on day one I was immediately surprised by how much we were able to get done and still not feel dead-drop tired. Our guide, Freddie, deserves special recognition for his spirit of service and immense knowledge of the region. I could not think of a single time where I had a question that he could not answer. He also made the tour feel very personal, as if we were visiting an old friend. He went out of his way to play his guitar everytime we had a meal and that was truly memorable! Some of the activities included a magical nighttime boat ride in the Amazon, a fun excursion to La Isla La Des Los Monos, a stroll through the Amazon (safe and with boots provided), and a visit to a local village. Obviously, the quality of the lodge and service will not change the fact that you are in the Amazon, so be ready for limited (but in my opinion enough) WiFi time mosquitoes when leaving the lodge. Electricity is also provided most of the day, but with breaks. I did not feel like that affected my experience in a negative way. The boat ride from Iquitos to the lodge is around two hours, but chances are you'll fall asleep for most of the ride. Overall I'm very satisfied with the experience and would definitely recommend it."

"It was my favourite part of the holiday. Our tour guide, Tito, was brilliant. He answered questions and knew plenty about the surrounding areas. You will see plenty of wildlife, but please do not expect to see a wild jaguar or anaconda. It is extremely rare. People have been working in these areas for many years without spotting such animals, and you will only be there for a few days. It is possible, as a group (not mine, unfortunately) did spot a wild Puma while we were there. You will have an activity packed 4 days, and you will love it. I highly recommend this tour company."
