Named after the famous explorer and navigator, Aoraki Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest peak. Surrounded by glaciers, this alpine environment is truly spectacular. Once there, transfer to either a ski plane or local helicopter service and land upon the Tasman Glacier. Then enjoy a scenic flight back to Christchurch over dramatic mountain ranges and extensive farmland. Our pilots will personalise this experience for you by sharing their local knowledge and insights of our big backyard as you fly over remarkable sights and landmarks, including the Central Plains Water Scheme, Lily Bank Station and the Tasman Glacier. We have plenty to share with you and can't wait for you to experience it. Please note we are unable to guarantee snow at any time particularly during Summer months (November – February)

There are no wild animals on this safari – just tonnes of beautiful snow! It’s an early start on Day 1 as we meet at 6am for breakfast in Christchurch, before we head off to Mt Hutt. Each evening, you are welcome to relax at your accommodation, soak in the local hot tub, cook in, eat out, enjoy the nightlife or even night skiing... whatever takes your fancy. As you build your tour online, you will see many optional activities available to add – but remember, none of these are compulsory. Not sure which activities to choose? No problem. Once you’ve paid a deposit and secured your seat you can add activities anytime until 45 days prior to departure. Activities can also be purchased on tour – just let your tour guide know, they’ll be happy to help. As we can’t always guarantee availability when booking on tour, we suggest if there are any activities you definitely want to do that you pre-book them.

New Zealand is known for its spectacular outdoor beauty and this tour helps you to see mountain scenery, and learn about local agriculture too. Take the stress out of arranging your own transport by having round-trip transfers from Christchurch included. You’ll travel between dispersed sites in a comfortable Mercedes-Benz AWD bus. You’ll visit up to three different farms, which vary depending on the season. Possibilities could be vineyards, cereal crops, flower farms, or horse studs. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, a delicious lunch is included.
