Top Hiking Trails in Red Rock Canyon
Just 15 miles (24 km) outside of Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area provides a respite from the glitz and guilty pleasures of the Strip. Here are four hiking trails where you can get back to nature and work off those cocktails.

Moenkopi Loop (easy)
This 2-mile (3.2-km) loop is just 180 feet (55 meters) in elevation gain, making it ideal for all skill levels. It features wildflowers and views of the Wilson Cliffs.

White Rock Spring to Willow Spring Trail (easy to moderate)
You'll climb 843 feet (257 meters) in elevation on the White Rock Spring to Willow Spring Trail, a 4.5-mile (7.2-km) out-and-back hike that's good for all skill levels. Trek past a man-made waterhole and over a ridge to reach the Lost Creek area before continuing to Willow Springs.

Calico Hills Trail (moderate to difficult)
A 6.6-mile (10.6-km) out-and-back hike, the Calico Hills Trail is one of Red Rock Canyon's most popular hikes. The beginning climb is known as Hell Hill, but you're rewarded with views of the rugged landscape. Watch for wildflowers as you gain 1,223 feet (372 meters) in elevation.

Ice Box Canyon Trail (difficult)
Seasoned hikers will enjoy Ice Box Canyon, a 2.4-mile (3.9-km) loop hike that rises 836 feet (255 meters) in elevation. You'll drop into the bottom of the canyon and trek over boulders, heading upstream along a river.
